Now Reduced!!! I am selling my 1996 XM 2.0 16 valve Auto due to the purchase of a V6 XM (I didn't like the C5 I originally bought - it just wasn't a patch on XM for either comfort or style!). It is taxed to the end of October and MOT’d to September. Mileage is 93k. This is a very good looking car, in my opinion it suits white, and the side trims have been previously replaced with stainless steel inserts and this enhances the look. Considering the age of the car there are few blemishes but it is not perfect and beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder, please come and look. The velour interior is in fantastic condition with no stains, smells or signs of wear. There is quite a lot of history with the car and it was given an oil service (including gear oil and filter clean) at the end of February. Both window regulators have been repaired or replaced in my ownership and work well, as does the sun-roof. The engine pulls well and returns good mpg the way I have driven it. Brakes work well, including the parking brake and the suspension is soft and there are no leaks. A drop link hasjust been replaced, curing the slight concern I had a while back. Exhaust and tyres are fine. The car is located at Middleton St George a mile from Durham Tees Valley Airport and close to Darlington for rail links. Price: £700 Please PM me for e-mail and phone contact details. Rob Taxed, tested and ready to go!

I've had a few of these, I love big Citroens and the XM was the last of the greats.
My current daily driver is a new C5 and I'm pleased that it's got back a little of the quirkyness of old (the previous C5 was horrid IMHO) and after 30,000 miles of hard use, I'm delighted that it's currently the only new car I've ever had that's not returned for warranty work.
The XM does look very good in white too!!

I am back on the market for another XM, looking for one with leather though, I loved my previous one even if it was a bit of a dog, never a problem with the suspension though!
Just bought a hot hatch and it really is not cutting it, I need to waft around being cosseted by french leather! hehe
Good luck with the fix, I hope it all goes smoothly, and in fact, I hope you end up keeping it!
