Yeah, Griz's car, he wants to raise funds to get his 945 penta project going again.
The car is near stourbridge, west midlands. I will have a better look at the car soon and take the camera.
I'm fairly certain its got bad rust round the rear arches and sills.
IIRC its a 1979 car T plate but the headlights grill and bonnet have been been converted to the post 1986 style.

Fookin ell, 2-door or not, you'd need to be keen to pay a large for a volvo 240 with no engine and major rot problems!.
To be fair it looks like the current owner has taken the time to store it carefully at least.

I think calling it a "coupe" is reaching a bit as well - the 262 was the "coupe" & completely different roofline to the saloon, the 242 is just a 2-door saloon & not uncommon on the continent innit?  |

good luck with that!  think you need to revalue how much its worth tbh. i paid just £100 for my e21 and that had an engine! |

Its the only one I know of thats for sale in the UK, and it's not like they come up very often. Ok you can get one from the states but it would cost about the same as this one. And it does say ONO  |

Mate if could hold out for a bit i would snap it up as i was looking into importing one from Norway later in the year. Have been looking for one for ages and this is local to my folks.

242,000 made they cant be that rare Put it this way, that's probably about the only RHD example in the country and only a handful of LHD 242's if that! They're also far rarer than the 262 coupe you can get here quite readily in comparison. Lots of potential that car, they look a million times better than the 4 doors. I wish they sold them here!    |

There used to be one of these in North Birmingham, Kingstanding area IIRC. It was silver and U.K registered but LHD. This was about 10 years ago mind and I have to confess ive never seen another since.
