SOLD ;D
Model: Audi 80 TDi SE Avant
Year: 1996
Mileage: 208000
Tax: Jan
MOT: March
Location: Bristol
Price: £400
Additional Information:
Useful, economical parts hauler, needs a little work
Bad bits
Slight crunch into third - may be syncromesh or linkage - easy to live with
Saggy rear roof lining
Something isn't right upfront - power steering is whiney I haven't had a chance to check it out - may be an easy fix.
few tiny dents and scratches, slight bubbling on one front arch - but overall bodywork is good
A little oil and water leaking somewhere, haven't bothered to find out where, I just top up the levels - no mayonnaise under the cap so it's not the head gasket.
Good stuff
Tax and MOT!
Year old heavy duty battery
Goodyear rubber all round
Nice alloys all round + spare
SE so leccy sunroof, windows and central locking on the fob - all works. Nice blue interior comfy seats, slight wear on bolster (not bad). Luggage cover works.
Starts on the button every time, cruises easily at 80, pulls like a train.
£700 of new brakes, pads, track rod ends, bushes done last year
Front struts, top mounts, bearings done this year
Some history.
Sony CD player and new dash speakers (still in box)
Cambelt done in 2008
Roof bars if you want them.
No smells smoke/pet
I've really enjoyed owning this 80, it's quick, it does over 55mpg on long runs, it's huge inside, it looks pretty good for an N reg. It's unfortunately just got a few too many niggles for me to be worth sorting and now my gf and I have downsized to one car, she wanted something more modern. If you know your spanners this may be just the right thing for the winter and then punt on in the Spring with a new MOT. You can run it on veg oil too although I never did.
Doing what she does best:
More pics coming soon. Dark blue btw.
