Sunday as you recall Street had to ship out of his workshop at short notice so he, Benzboy, ChasR and I rendezvoused down there to get cracking on the moving.
I like this
stance and patina
you can't fake it
awesome wheel fitment
about the only shot I have with the Scimitar in shot.
Escort was going to be interesting to move what with no axles and all.
We decided to move the Rover first
because BB is a trailer n00b we did most manouvering by hand
Getting the car loaded was easy
Some crazyman seems to be, well, I dunno.
We had fun strapping down. The ratchet straps were of the length for use to strap Challenger Tanks onto 40 foot low loaders LOL
Here's a man in his tweeds at home in his 4x4
And then we got it stuck...
We must have spent 45 minutes getting it out of the yard LOL. Mr Angry in his Drain Rodding van was revving his engine up behind there for the last 10 mins of that...
Again trailer manouvering "by hand" was called for. Heavy work.
But loaded and on the way. M69 and...
Where's Street?
Oh, door popped open again...
finally made it to the new workshop. I think this was 4pm....
Rover tucked up in the storage area
Nice to be indoors on a rainy day...
So back for the Escort. Did I mention no axles before. Street says "we'll just carry it onto the trailer"
"Can I see your MOT and insurance sir?"
The only Mr Angry this time was the guy in the Yaris
Remember when towing to connect the trailer electrics. Other than that a safe journey.
BB needed to rescue a mini-frog (Not ChasR's car LOL)
Escort joins Rover in storage
Last of the stuff unloaded from the Pug and we were D-O-N-E
Unfortunately the Scimitar had to be abandoned to its fate with the land lord as we'd been on it 12 hours by the time we were home and no way could we move that too.
Now who wants to see video of BB reversing a trailer and what's it worth for me not to post it ha?
Or indeed a video of BB trying to start the 4x4 without setting the alarm off for the 4th time?
