So there I am, leafing through my old magazines, and I find a golf sat on some pretty sweet ABT Alloys. Now I normally wont go anywhere near anything without some dish, but the flat(ish) face was saved by the unusual design. Which got me thinking, were there any awesome hubcap designs, standard or aftermarket, that have a similar effect? |

Couldn't find any hubcaps, but have some Corvette Sawblades to keep up with the cool flat-faced rim theme  |

The original topic's not bad though either! Hubcaps... so many out there... so few nice ones. I bought a set of these  '88-9 Honda prelude Left & Right handed & directionally finned wheelcovers retained by the wheel bolts with separate centre caps. They put a lot of thought into the design for such things. To digress though.. If you wanted flat-face wheel I'll admit to buying a set of its polished Alloy wheels too.  Also directionally Right & Left handed. I like some of the older Mercedes "A"class wheel covers as well for going to the effort of lining up their holes with those of the wheel underneath so you can see straight through. '92 Civic ones did that too:  Obviously not directional though! ________________________Chrome/metal hubcaps are another category altogether though aren't they !______________________
 Else where these were shown off as someones new purchase & I thought they belonged here just for their classic memorability.  Jaguar XJ6 series3 covers spectacular too... dishy fitting tight over the wheel with separate trim rings.  "Sporting" Ford falcons, particularly XR-XY GT's though the late '60's-early '70s wore these "fake chromies" \ The irony....  Cadillac "sombrero" wheelcovers are/were a staple of the custom scene for decades..  Same for those of the Dodge Lancer Hmm... Spotted this site with "reproduction/vintage" wheelcovers while looking & had to add some of its content. those are some wicked designs going on there. Reason i ask is that i need something to tart up my mk3 fiesta, but can't afford alloys. I figured some cheap hubcaps might turn heads with the right design and colour
