Hi all, Trial-fitted my TOM'S Igetas to the MR today, and finally got some decent pictures for a suggestions/photoshops thread. Ideas at the moment: Gun metal? Bronze? White? Any other suggestions or (especially) 'shops greatly appreciated! Pics below:

I did mine in gunmetal, they don't look too nice. Esp on standard, small wheels:

I think the bronze/gold is quite nice - very Scooby-roo. My taste is for polished rim edges and black inners. I always say that though haha

I like the white the best if your keeping the body colour the same.

Bronze/gold for me. As said before though, the wheels look a little lost at the moment - the fine spokes make them look smaller than the standard 14" wheels. What you need is to find a good sized stick to batter it with. Suddenly your bronze wheels look a lot more at home: Please say you'll do it? Springs aren't that expensive for MR2's and the gain is HUGE

Now that looks amazing Bruce Certainly leaning towards the bronze, but what sort of a drop do you reckon that 'shoop would be? Most of the lowering springs I've looked at are 30-40mm... I REALLY like the polished lip/black centre ones too... but I'm not entirely sure on how much the polishing would cost me - dad's got connections with a bodyshop so painting with a uniform finish would be quite a lot cheaper I think.

Polished rims can be hard to maintain. If left 'raw' you have to keep on top of them with the Autosol to stop them corroding/pitting. If you have them laquered then it won't be too long before you get water creeping in under the laquer and they look shabby very quickly. The only solution then is to strip off the laquer and refurb.
Polsihed rims are fantastic, but I personally wouldn't have them on a daily or anything you use much in all but the best of weathers. I know this from personal experience of both raw polsihed and laquered polished alloys.
As for the springs, PI are probably the best for the money. Fensport used to do good springs, but the quality is a bit hit & miss these days. PI seem to sit at a nice drop too....probably not far off how the photoshop looks.
Next time I'm over in Wales (probably next week) I'll try and get some shots of an Mk1b riding on PI springs.

if not polished, then how about just painted silver on the rims and black in the centres?
