How cool is that! Unfortunately I have no info on it but I'm sure some of the more learned members of the RR massive (especially the Volkswagen buffs) may be able to shed some light

Wow, that's amazing! Here I was expecting the traditional Baja bus, just jacked up with mud tyres on. This would be unreal for sand dunes!

That was in volksworld magazine a few months back, the guy who built it has made a few others apparently (he builds offroad racecars for a living iirc), that one is running a 2.5l subaru lump in the back, oh why cant we have the weather for that sort of thing over here

I love that. Anyone else think that top picture could of come straight out of a late 70's issue of Custom Car or similar?

Looks like a lunchwagon for lion-feeding time on the plains of Serengeti. Note the neat bifurcation between the zookeepers up front and the chum in back. LOL!

I wondered if they should have put a fill bulkhead in with an electrically operated dividing window ;D Pointless! Excellent! Wouldn't like to see it roll over with people in the back though!

looks cool, be hot and dusty on the back though, its bad enough driving things (like jeeps) with no roofs and doors across straw fields in this counrty let alone in the desert.

I do love these baja buses, quite popular it seems. I believe they pull some pretty impressive wheelies.

Type 2 bajas are cooler than a penguins packed lunch.
Gotta be pretty brave to chop up a split screen though!
