Go and see your MoT place?
Now it's all on computer, and they don't need the old one as in the olden days...

Mot station needs the logbook to find when it was last mot'd I'm afraid, they need a code off it, tried it a couple of weeks ago.
If ya know it's due soon just stick it in, if it's within a month of the expiry then it'll get added on, hence 13 month mot's.

If you go to the MOT station who last tested it they can print off a duplicate with the registration number only. They only need the V5 if they aren't the original testing station.

Curious... when I got my car MoT'd recently we didn't give them any paperwork. Can one of our testers tell us if there's something special about starting an MoT that brings the info up that they might not do if you come in asking?

LAST mot'd, don't need any docs to get a new mot, as for the 13 month mot thing, it doesn't show any dates as far as I know, just says if your eligable for "credit" (extended mot if you renew within a month of expiry), not sure if that makes much sense, I'm tired.
