okay.. so I have the polo and the pop... this is seemingly not enough for me. so I won a competition the other week, and won my self a Yamaha xt125. well... kinda. (quite a few things missing) picked it up yesterday (21/3/09). and been playing with it since. have some pics as it was waiting for me to pick it up: and after i played with it a little: and the two projects: and have a video of it running. I need to make a new one, but this will go for the moment. updates as stuff happens cheers -Liam

Thanks guys. means alot its officially going to become a hardtail. but a softail for the time being. progress of today... decided that I'm going to use the original xt125 frame.easier. has everything that fits. and the frame looks stronger. so... started off with this: cut it around to make it look like this: which turned into this: which evolved into this: to put it bluntly... I'm chuffed. love the way it looks on this frame. and cant wait till it become a hardtail. and when i can actually fit on it! really desperately looking for forks now! i cant really do anything until i get some... can anyone help me out? the yokes support 35mm fork legs. but if there are yokes available then i'd rather have the complete package! cheers in advance -Liam

That is a superb shot, like something from Dice Magazine (check it out if you haven't already, trust me, get a sub it's worth it! www.dicemagazine.com). I really like this bike and it sounds duuuuurty in that video buddy! What forks are you looking for? XT ones? There's some on ebay at the minute if that's what you're looking for: Item number: 350184977412

update: FORKSS!!! the fronts a little high... but i'll make it work. front brake works and for no apparent reason, i made the clutch work too. cut down the stand to make it so it actually has a stand thats of some use. the next update could have to wait for a couple of days. as today a dike pulled out in front of me on my moped. and i had to swerve to avoid him. caught the kerb and i was down.. not feeling great as you'd expect.. but hopefully wont be too long 'till I'm out there again. when i do get round to it.. it will be extending the swing arm.. getting it to roughly the right length for me (probably about 6-8 inches) -Liam

Sorry to hear you got tossed by a dike, not in the good way! Hope you feel better soon buddy. Anyway, i like the forks, they'll defo work. Did a very crude photoshop of a bit more rake on them , helps the proportions a bit. and

my word.. i need an update... right.. bought this as a parts bike. complete bike apart from keys and registration docs. then took the front off it.. and it went onto mine.. as well as the rear wheel.. lowerd the bike back down quite nicely. and gave it a nice look. though I'm not too sure in the front mudguard... yummy ;D then i set about removing this lot. and putting it on mine. almost all done now.. electric wise. still a baby compared to my dads though. lol. that brings it up to today. tomorrow i will see if i actually have life.. ... exiting stuff. lol

lights? I has them ;D you may also notice that the front mudguard is gone big thanks to my mate John (even though I doubt he'll see this). he sat down with me for 4 or 5 hours showing me and going through the wiring on the bike. so now I have my electrics up n running ;D all I need now is a battery and I'm well on my way to getting it done ;D I also got another vital part of the build today. but will save that for another day to show you all cheers -Liam
