Nice welding there, Will be a great feeling when you get it back on the road safe in the knowledge that its completely solid, I do love these Thanks Matt, funnily enough it still has an MOT. Again not much to show, second coat of seam sealer applied a bit more wire brushing and priming. The last rusty bit on the cab finally finished, although I can't finish it until the buck is off so I can get above it. so what did I do, yup make a big hole. and fill it up. I hope to get the lower front panel welded on tomorrow and get it ready for the wings.

She will be a clinker when you've finished. Seeing the tinworm on yours which has clearly been looked after with low miles as well, makes you wonder just how much work a well used one would realistically need to make mint. Bucketloads I reckon! And yes, you should go 2litre, I'm sure it will add a new dimension

Nice work there - i've got all this to come on mine! Thanks, good luck with yours. Wings are now on. most gaps are OK apart from this one is not as good. and this seems to stick out too far to the door although I got it in a bit more after I took the picture so hopefully once the new door is on it should be OK.

Why is it still do cold, it took ages to warm the garage up and then I run out of gas, I do feel sorry for those of you that have to work outside. I wanted to try the new door for fit before I painted it. (still need a drivers side one but I'll probably end up repairing that one) got a good gap here but you can drive a bus through here I can't even move it backwards by making some shims because it's so tight inside I don't think the shells where made very well in South Africa as it is a bit like this all over or is it just typical Ford build quility of the time.

I was not happy with the door gaps so I thought I would have a go again today. First I made some shims. and after a bit of fiddling I ended up with this. I don't think the pictures show it very well and the contrast between the red and black makes it look bigger than it is, but I'm happy with it now, managed to turn it around so I can take the other door of and repair that.

GR9 work! You do quality bodywork TMRanch, hats off. I fancy taking the buck off my P100, i think it probably has some fairly bad grot issues under the plywood boards.

Thanks Mr xbo11ox, ply lined P100 buck does not sound like good news are you brave enough to remove it? I went in the garage yesterday and all I did was remove this door. because it's full of holes here went back down today to repair the holes and walked back out again, it's just too cold down here, when is spring/summer coming?

A little update from the last few weeks. I cut some repair panels out of the passenger door that I replaced to sort out the holes in the drivers door. Then the other night a mate helped me take the truckman top of someone nicked my door and then tonight we took the buck off and I've had to store it here it don't leave much room

Well again such a long time and no action, but just to prove something has been done I painted the black bits last weekend ready to paint the red tomorrow. Pictures to prove.

Awesome vehicle. The Sierra-based ones are rare enough now, can't remember the last time I saw a Cortina P100
