Hello all. I'm Jason from Norwich. New on here. This is my Mk1 Cavalier 1600L 2 door saloon. This shot was taken for Practical Classics magazine in May 2005. My car still looks the same. I'm from Norwich & hope to meet up with some of you at the East Anglian meets.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Nice car Jason,
there can´t be many around in unmolested top condition.
Normally i´d (we´d) say drop it and put some wide wheels on it but i think you´re right that although this is a modified classic car forum i think it would be a shame to change anything on this one.
Welcome aboard! ;D

Here is another pic of my Cavalier, it was taken last year at the old disused Raf base at Sculthorpe LVF was built in Antwerp, Belguim and registered on 15th March 1980, Tricentrol of Norwich supplied it to a Mr Middleton who lived on the outskirts of Norwich. He only used it now and again as he had a company van so when he sold it in 1998 to get a Corsa it only had 33,000 miles on the clock. Owner 2 lived in Spalding ,Lincs yet he put it in his Sisters garage in Holbeach, he drove it from Norwich to Holbeach, parked it and that was it untill i got it in 2002, the '98 MOT and '02 one had 80 miles difference, work stopped him using it. I have every piece of paperwork from new. Mot's, Tax Disc's, Order Form, Sales Invoice etc. The only extras are the dealer fitted Radio, Mudflaps and front mats, it was also Protectol rustproofed for the first 6 years. To date it only has done 52,000 and is only used for shows during the summer only. The wife calls it my obsession and my 1st love! Fair nuff!!

That's an absolute credit to you mate, I'll echo what others have said....more power to your elbow for keeping one just as Vauxhall intended. Welcome to Retro-Rides!
