The SlowRider 1991 Mitsubishi Galant SE 2.o Liter straight 4 with a 4 speed auto A/C (Kinda works), Power windows, Power steering etc...
Well heres my first car. The car had been my dads for about 8 years. He got it second had for 15K when it was about 3 years old. He drove it for about 4 or 5 years. In that time he crashed it into a pile of dirt, lost a hub cap and broke the head unit. It then sat in the front lawn for about 3 or 4 years as he then got a company car. It was put back on the road for my cuz in about 2003/04 and both the engine and gear box computers broke! So they were fixed and she drove it around for about a year and a half. When I got my license dad got ti back from her so I could drive it. At this point the reverse gear in the gear box stopped working and that had to be fixed. The first thing I ever did to it was the new head unit. By now the paint had also started to peal off.
Here's how it looked before I started to drive it.

Some photos from when I drove it to high school on the last day of term. With this load in the boot you can also put 6 people in the rest of the car an still move! all be it really slow. Me and my wheels, I can't believe my hair was once that short!
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/427/b200ed2a.jpg)
This is why I have dents in the bonnet!

Heres what the paint looked like when I got it. the pealing spread right to the edges before I stippled it off and painted it black.
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/427/d9d96f07.jpg)
I was looking in some old photos of school and found this pic of the mitsubishiti. It was casual dress day at the near by girls school and ne of the girls was dresses as a pirate and gave me the hood ornament for my car
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/427/171aca3d.jpg)
I got my door kicked in while me and some mates were out egging after we had finished school. Evey bad idea. Heres the dent in my back door, I hope the guy got hurt, he did get the side intrusion bar!
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/427/8bd59a1d.jpg)
I then added some white walls that last about a month then I let mum move it to get her car out. Well she drive it right down the blue stone curb out the front of the house and ripped up the passenger side ones! Heres when I first had them on. I got the windows tinted last summer as the old stuff was fulling off and I couldn't see out.
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/427/6f562e45.jpg)
After the white walls were ripped up I went to the wreckers and got a new door and some bigger 15" rims from the newer model galant.
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/427/9651ea07.jpg)
It was then lowered an inch with some new King Springs and it goes much better.
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/427/471da206.jpg)
I then started on the paint. it got checkers to cover the crappy paint.

![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/427/364b8459.jpg)
I finally did the roof to look like it had a vinyl roof.
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/427/03cf2ca5.jpg)
I now also has a pack rack I made to kill some time. I don't have it on all the time as it does my fuel usage no good. I took my center caps off as I think they would have fallen off soon.
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/427/5103aa9f.jpg)
It also has an air horn, a little black box that makes animal sounds, police sirens and a microphone.
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/427/2af542b4.jpg)
Heres some newer photos of it. I'll take some more when I get my camera back and put some of the new stickers on it. I painted the center of the caps and put them back on, I also added a sliver strip round the edges where the red and back paint are to look like chrome trim.
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/427/Slow_by_Hemi_427.jpg)
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/427/Iron_Cross_by_Hemi_427.jpg)
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/427/427_Stripe_Work_by_Hemi_427.jpg) This is the 6th time I painted the front. It was flat back, checkers, flat black with green 427 logo on it, camo (no pics sorry) light grey with white 427 logo and now to this.
It needs a new CV joint on the left side so that will go in next week.
Cheers

Well it's been while for any change on this car. So for a chrissy present I got some new rims. Some 16" x 7.5" fake bbs looking ones. I also got a lip from a GSR model and painted it black for a bit of a JDM look.
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/427/IMG_1533.jpg)
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/427/IMG_1540.jpg) Old rim fit.
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/427/IMG_1539.jpg) New rim fit
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/427/IMG_1536.jpg) Much better now.
It looks like early next year this car will get a new motor. I just have to find a GSR at the right price to get a 5 speed manual and the twin cam head. I might have found one so stay tuned.
cheers

Those new rims are pretty horrible! Get the old ones back on. I'm not normally a fan of stuff like this, but that looks pretty smart especially the two-tone effort

Yes, yes I do? Got some for cheap. Also looking for some big fender mirrors too.

I've still got the little 14"s on as the 16"s have fooked tires.
It's not a fake rat really, ok the fuel cap is rusted but the rest of the car has done a fine job on it's own. On the drivers doors there no clear coat from where I put my arm.
cheers
