Nice colour combination and the front wheels look okay but the back ones look odd, perhaps it's the photograph? Loving the enormous wooden steering wheel.

nice one. just no stupid rusted bits please please please! People should buy rusty cars if they want rusty cars, not take perfectly good cars and damage parts of them on purpose.
Anyway, i do really like these B3 passats, and when the back of that one is lower it will look real nice on those wheels. Nice "boring" colour too, kind of old man spec. The old TDs are great, get playin with the pump too, real easy to do on those

Cheers for the comments! I've already got rusty bits that I plan on fixing, no added rust here. Play with the pump? do tell, i'm an amateur at diesels. Basically it's quite easy to turn up the amount of fuel the pump give to the engine, and you can increase the boost too, so essentially free tuning, and a noticable increase in power. You can modify the governor, boost pin and pump timing. If you want to go really mad some guys have fitted metal headgaskets and bigger turbos to these and gone up to really high boost On the bosch fuel pumps that are on these, there's literally a little screw/bolt thing that you turn to increase fuel, and depending on what wastegate you have you can adjust that too. There'd be fellas a lot better equipped than me on some of the VW specific forums to tell you in detail about doing this, i've messed with them myself but my way of doing things is rather trial and error lol. You're better off to do it the right way, not the conrad way.... which is right sometimes, wrong a lot but gets there eventually. Fear not though, you just need a few basic tools and a couple of hours of fiddling about with it. Does your passat have the intercooled TD engine or the normal one? the intercooler ones are fairly sought after. Proper jealous of you uk guys still having so many B3 passats around, there's almost none over here. Here's a clip of a tuned up jetta TD with a straight pipe, msut say i get a ridiculous amount of entertainment out of that sound, which is why anything diesel i ever own gets straight piped, going around sounding like a mad runaway tractor isnt for everyone, but it's certainly great for the WTF? factor when you roar past someone while blowing black smoke. The fact you can hear the turbo is pretty cool. oh and any excuse to whore out my home made straight pipe made from random pipe in 3 different sections, oops. Some inspiration for you.... possibly something to put you off tuning diesels, but either way somethin to think about

Me? Right? How rare! ;D
This looks so good with lows and tiny wide wheels and more beige than an old folks home. Simples!
Let me know when you want a hand fitting the rears.
CL spec FTW.

Lowered it? Nope. Finally stripped all the plastics out and lowered it properly. Went to Blackpool to do some hard bumming Noticed that my carpets were getting wetter, I'd already sealed the windows, door skins, door seals etc. Couldn't work it out. A man i know suggested it might be roof seams. (oh hi Jeremy) What would he know... Roof seams: So i dremeld all the old seam sealer out, and resealed with Tiger seal And because i'm a bit thick and clumsy i'd exposed some metalwork, so i brushed on some stonechip And i found all this in my fan!
