You make me laugh Will, did you think at the start you would end up with your car in many pieces ?
Great progress, and impressed to see you get on with it.
I wish my son by marraige (15yo) had some interest in anything outside of his bedroom and X-Box and Internet surfing.
You can rightly be proud of yourself, great car you have there.

I do love the EG Civic, my one was hands down one of the best cars I have ever owned!
You look to be doing a great job there! Is it an LSi or a DX model?
Also, did the MG seats bolt straight in?
Thanks
Rysz.

If civics over here looked like that i would be happy, instead i have to see horrific looking wibblepoo bodykits, cheap nasty wheels and fake type r badges.
Your one look snice on the small fat wheels, get it a bit lower though. I love the plans for working on the 1.3 engine. Nobody bothers doing anything with the 1.3 here apart from swapping in a 1.5 or a 1.6 vtec and leaving the details unchanged for "cheaper insurance" ( a pices of paper to keep the police happy, but no good if you crash)

Yeh id like to see what power i could get outta a n/a d13 on a budget think the webers should make a dramatic difference if tuned right. Thanks Will.

d15 from a jdm crx 1.5x or d16 from a jdm integra (both twin carbed)wouldnt be a tough swap on a dx, and very cheap to lay your hands on.

Hi Will,
I just missed you when you and Steve called at the unit and saw my 164. Anyway, I'm sure we'll get to meet up soon.
Very impressive job you've done on the engine bay - I like the attention to detail. And those wheels look fantastic considering what you started with!
A specialist metal treatment company would be able to get those carbs looking like new, but be really careful who you use. A a "normal" shotblasting place (used to doing truck axles etc) would completely ruin them.
As an alternative, you could try using some acid and a toothbrush. Try alloy wheel cleaner first. If that doesn't work, try some paint stripper, but do a small area at a time and don't leave it on too long.
Keep up the good work on the car! Hopefully I can call and see it in the flesh sometime.
Cheers
John
