Alfa Romeo Alfa Sud SC 1.3 (1.5 105hp engine, Ti trim)
1983 (Still have original bill of sale)
71k (Not sure if this is matched to the engine or the chassis)
No Tax - (£60 odd for 6months)
No MOT - (Been tested with fail sheet detailed below)
Will need collecting from Fareham, Hampshire. It's fully road going as I drove it to and from the test centre yesterday but Is not legal given no tax or ticket.
As these are getting rarer and rarer now I really don't want it to go to the breakers or to sit as a donor somewhere.
The car attracts alot of attention (not by fan-boys!) as it's a car that once sat right in the middle of stage as one of the best handling cars of the late 70's.
Since I have owned the car: The engine has been rebuilt recently following a head gasket failure - this was due to a 1.3 headgasket being used on the 1.5 block. Whilst this was being done the twin-dellorto 36 carbs were rebuild with new seals and the engine was refinished. Also a new service kit was fitted along with minor work on the engine bay.
Its sat on KN diamonds with fresh rubber 13x185 front 13x175 rear as this was one of the points I sorted before it's MOT, although I do have a full set of 5 alfa speedline wheels that were originally on the car.
I have a wealth of information about the car if anyone wants to know anything past present etc.
I am really sad to see it go given all the hard work I've put in but unfortunately I think I am in danger of loosing my better half and likely the kids if I keep working on it.
Not only that but where I now live I only have 2 parking bays and no-where I can really work on it.
The MOT:
I have a list of points that need correcting for it's MOT, I had been offered "car-park" MOT's and the like but I wanted a thorough look through what needed to be done to the car.
I would estimate at around 2 weekends of hobby mechanics to get it up to scratch. But there is welding included (only patches)
I'm going to ask for£700 £550 as a fair price as any lower it will be worth more in bits.
I will include the KN Diamonds and tyres in the sale, along with anything else spares etc I can find in my shed.
More pictures to follow, but here are some from my online archive.
