I am looking for a change of car, and something that will be as reliable as this (hopefully).
Here is my 1983 Triumph Acclaim that is in great overall condition but suffers from a few cosmetic defects.
It has just sailed through the MOT just over a week ago with just two advisories, a little water in the headlight and slightly worn rear wheel bearings. Thats it! It has 4-5 months Tax as well iirc.
Get it out of the way first is that it was vandalised last Christmas where some 'youths' dented the front and rear drivers side doors, I have pushed them out but its not the best job to be honest.
The Only RUST on the whole car is situated on the two creases in the doors (very minor) and the front valance where it was dented at some point before my ownership. There is a little on the inside of the boot lid.
Elsewhere there is no rust at all, I believe (and confirmed by the MOT man) that it has been extensively waxoiled from new.
It is seriously clean underneath/wheel arches etc!
It is used daily for a 30 mile commute and I have done around 7-8k in around 6-7 months since I have got it, and all I have had to do is new radiator (reconditioned by A1 Radiators, Banbury) and just put some new spark plugs in.
This starts first time every day, holds temp fine (fan comes on when its in traffic for about 1-2min then goes off again) and regularly does 40mpg+.
Included with the car are the original 13" steel wheels with tyres and the 15" MINI Steel wheels with tyres that are fitted. More detail here-

This would make a great learner car or cheap daily.
Comes under a classic insurance policy, only about £400 a year for me (23, 2yr NCB, SP30) and cheaper tax as its 1.3L.
