This is my Z31 for sale!
I've had the car since Sunday as I saved it within days of going to the scrapyard. The previous owner had the car since 2000, and often did 100 - 500 every year, but MOT'd and taxed it on the dot.
It's completely standard apart from the TSW Phoenix three-spoke wheels. The tax and MOT run out at the end of the month, but it will be getting MOT'd and taxed on the 1st April.
I've done 600 miles in it through the week, it has been totally reliable, and literally starts as soon as you turn the key. It does 50 miles to £10 of fuel, which is good considering it's 1.37p around here. There's no overheating issues, no oil burning, etc., it's an 'honest' and usable car with no hidden nasties. It is also a manual, I have only ever seen automatic cars, I didn't even know these came in manual.
Everything works, there are no electrical gremlins anywhere, which I have never had before on an old Japanese car. It has cruise control, headlight washers, original Nissan stereo, non-leaking t-top glass, working side mirrors and electric windows. The boot and fuel cap open fine on the lever. It also has a fluid pump and cooler for the diff. The leather bucket seats are electric with three separate electronic lumbar control. None of the trim is missing. The boot still has the retractable blind, and the huge toolkit panel is complete and present.
The interior is blue to match the paint (which is Solar Blue Metallic).
The engine and gearbox is A1 - I intend to give it a service on the weekend. The sound is tremendous - it's a nice quiet burble on over-run/idle and sounds great when you fully open it up.
The bad point is some of the rust on the car - the rear arches are OK for MOT and don't actually look that bad, but they could do with seeing to. The passenger door is going on the bottom and the front wing has been repaired comically badly (I've given it a spray with black primer as it was just filler left without treating) - there's a rust-free wing and door on ebay at the moment and a couple of Z31's being broken. There is also rust underneath the rear quarter glass. The body has a few dents and scratches - it comes with the age of the car I'm afraid and a previous owner that I suppose didn't car too much about it.
I've completely hoovered and jetwashed it, and 'cut' the paint followed with a polish and the paintwork is shiny again.
I wouldn't consider scrapping the car as I absolutely love the car and will happily drive it around until it is sold.
