I'm never going to fix this so it's gotta go. Obv no T&T on it. It's a 1985 Datsun Laurel with a 2.4 straight six and auto. Lovely cruiser and goes really well. It's actually reasonably rapid for a Laurel. It's done a bit over 110k but has been pretty well looked after by the look of it. The service book was stamped up to 102459 miles. It has plenty of service history including the original bill of sale etc.
It's been slightly lowered ;D The rear is fairly well sorted and rides well (using MX5 coilovers) but the front still needs improving, however it comes with a rally design coilover kit and some shorter shocks ready for doing a proper job. I can possibly supply a pair of 2.25" coil springs too depending on if I have any the right length.
What's up with it? Bodywork and that's about it really. It needs welding to the rear of both sills and three of the four arches are bubbling up. It needs the ends of the front valance sorting too and there's a hold behind the battery tray. The rear valance has been done but needs paint. I also altered the rear valance and exhaust so it exited on the opposite side to stock to allow for a tow bar. It has a completely hidden towbar with a removable neck. One front indicator lens is broken but I should have one to fit.
I fitted it with a rare chrome grill which I imported from Kuwait. UK cars usually have a black plastic grille. I'll also include a proper bonnet mascot which also came from the same source. Another part I have is a new trim for the top of the front bumper without the headlight wiper cutouts so they can be removed.
Bottom line is, if you can weld and paint then this is a pretty straightforward job for you. I'll even include the paint! All of the bodywork is low down so you'd get away with just repainting the gold. The bonnet paint if poor but I have enough paint to do that too. The wheels on it in the pics don't come with but are available as are some other sets. It'll be rolling on stock alloy rims.
Car is near Louth in N.E. Lincolnshire. Viewing welcome or I can email you a bunch of pics.
Here's a quick walkaround video of it. The terrible sound quality makes the engine sound noisy but it's not...it's actually really sweet running...
