ive got a low milage series one v8auto sd1 shell that I need a good home for.. its very good but has 2 small "ratholes" in the rear inner arch to bootfloor corners that will need welding appart from that it truly is rust free.. never been welded. it has a rather strange history. I am the second owner and rescued it from the scrapyard many years ago.. it was as far as I can tell a japan export (engine code, low 8.13:1 compresion engine, strange airboxes, air injected recurculated exhaust ports, and many japanese stickers on it ). however it was LHD orig (aparently this was a status thing in japan to have LHD and they have even got a name for it.. not sure what it is) Confused
it was converted to rhd and sold and regestered as new in 1983 in the uk but like I say its a series one..
very strange history I presume it was sent to japan but not sold so came back converted to rhd and sold here...
anyways its a rolling shell. it has all suspension and wiring loom etc. basically its a complete car minus engine/box seats and carpets/parcel shelf. doorcards are there as it brakes all glass etc.
would be ace for a rebuild using the needed bits from a rusty car... or a race car?
also ive just remembered the screen is cracked but apparently they are available cheep.. edit available for 130 quid in verious tints edit
I don't really want to give it away it has nostalgic value for me and it was my first v8 I owned. untill recently I was planning on fitting a ford bigblock v8 to it but that project has been shelved.
I just need a good home really I know I could list it on ebay and get maybe a few hundred for it but for that money it is in the banger racing teratory and I want it to live on as these esp' series ones are getting rare now... so if anyone wants it come and get it. FREE located near bath in somerset.. thanks si
| so now the imp is gone what have I got to replace it?? hehehe project MARTIAL LAW is almost here!! |

I saw one of these covered in moss being trailered up the M6 this afternoon. Could it have been this one?
