Model: Bedford CF Autosleeper 2.3 petrol manual/overdrive Year: 1980 Mileage: Gawd knows Tax: End of Sept MOT: Ran out, not failed, but see notes Location: Huntingdon, Cambs Price: £600 Contact details: By PM please Well, seems to be the season to flog campers, so here goes! It's a shabby CF facelift with the 2.3 slant-four and a five-speed manual gearbox. Paint is very home-brew and it's scruffy all over, though thankfully seems to lack serious corrosion anywhere other than the front bumper. Runs well but there's a leak on the exhaust manifold. Not had time to fix it, so the MoT has lapsed and it'll need at least that for a test. Seems to drive very nicely though, bar some gearbox noise in third. It's a four-berth Autosleeper, with pop-up roof, cooker etc. Also has fridge and central heating but I've not got those working. We don't really need it as when we go camping, we go in the 2CV. Deserves some use and goes by the name of Bernard, even though she's a girl... Still has a little road tax, so you could drive to an MoT centre with one less thing to worry about! We drove it from Birmingham to home with no problems earlier in the year. Certainly not perfect but fettle over the winter for an excellent summer camping tool!

OOOOOhhhh, I love that.
Wish Nicola's daughter who is into splitty and Bay window campers understood, and also was not 17.
Would love for her to have this, but of course that is not going to happen.
Hope someone buys it and makes it work.

Update.... SHE LOVES IT !!
On the internet, looking for shady dealers to sell her kidneys to, and also wants to rent out the vacant space between her ears....
Wish it was possible.

Just haven't got any need for it Matt. Four cars between us, and a BX estate for load lugging = nothing for the van to do. I imagine it's quite curse word on fuel but (I forgot to mention this...) some idiot has replaced the fuel gauge with a vacuum gauge. Yeah, well done whoever did that! I didn't want to know how much fuel I had anyway. (For info, I filled the tank in Brum and estimate it's done little more than 100 miles since, if that).

They're not that bad on juice as it goes. Had a pop top CF 2.3 about five years back now and had a belting holiday in it. Fuel wise I seem to recall it would do mid twenties no bother on a run.

Thanks Billy. Of course, I'm rather unfairly comparing with a 2CV and a BX diesel - but it is a good bit larger than both of those! Interior images as requested. Not really touched inside, so standard Autosleeper fare. Burners work and we're selling with a gas bottle This shows one of the hammocks deployed - not sure I'd want to spend a night up there! Lucky there's only two of us though bizzarely, we've only slept in this van once, and that was before we owned it!

My lad fell out of one of those hammocks at about 3.00am on holiday straight on top of his younger sister!
That looks better eqipped than the one I had plus mine was rusty as you like and I still got just shy of a grand for it. Someone with a little time and a bit of patience would have that right in no time (including painting it) and it'll be worth daft money come March/April next year.

You certainly would be able to find it in a supermarket carpark - sorry organic veggie commune car park

It is still for sale. Found a bit of rot at the rear of the left hand sill and some in the front wheelarches, but the rest is still solid enough. Tax is out now as well though. I do hope someone can take the ol' girl on. Feel bad that we've just not had chance to anything with her. (and the paint rules - fact )
