Ok,
I got this last year (i think) as I fancied a small classic for running about in and my Mrs loved it, we both loved the 70's tastic colour both inside and out!
Right at the same time my 'rolling resto' Mustang became a full on strip down so this never really got any time which is a shame as it's a nice little car and deserves a good home.
The paintwork is mega flat but T-cuts up surprisingly well but there are still scabby bits, the body has has quite a lot of welding by the previous owner, it isn't especially pretty but it seems strong and using reasonable repair panels.
It will need some welding for a ticket but nothing especially major unless you wanted to fully restore it..
The engine has allegedly been rebuilt by the previous owner (you can see plenty of new bits and it's very clean) and it seems pretty good starts pretty much first time no smoke but misses a bit, probably due to sitting but I have a spare set of carbs to go with it, I suspect these as the dizzy has all new components inside and out..
The main problems are the hydraulics, both the brake master cylinder and the clutch slave cylinder are dead rendering it undrivable due to the clutch I have driven it last summer and it went ok (on the handbrake....) round the farm tracks all seemed ok, though reverse gear seemed crunchy and often wouldn't go in..
The interior is in really nice condition check out the wonderful brown velour and period stereo! a good clean and refitting the parcel shelf would see it looking good again.
£80 is what it owes me so offers around that please open to swaps for tools, bike projects, field bikes, kiddy quads, anything at all really except cars! I'd like it to go to a good home and I could deliver for the cost of petrol my tow car does 12mpg (on petrol) so you can work delivery cost out for yourself, however I wont deliver it to someone who hasn't viewed it, as I'd much prefer you to know what your getting.
There's no battery but I'll gladly fit one for the purposes of firing up the engine to show it's a good 'un..
Phots!
