Hi, Very reluctantly I'm having to offer for sale my Sud track project. Its a major project but the shell is VERY solid. Details are; Excellant top rails (Prof repaired) Excellant bulk head (original) Excellant windscreen surround Excellant inner wings (some prof. repairs) Good floors, inner sills, rear box sections, jackingpoints etc. NO RUST All underseal has been removed so no hidden nasties Good wheel arches Good pair of front wings (1 new) Rust free bonnet Good tailgate Good doors The shell has a welded in roll cage (Sparco) Out board front brakes Handbrake fitted to the rear drums Lowered spings Deep dish 14inch alloys with excellant tyres (mixed brands) Lightweight doors The shell will come with; Good low mileage 16 Valve motor (hasn't run for a few years though, turns over fine) Sud Ti gearbox Crossover 16 valve manifold 16 Valve exhaust 16 Valve ECU 16 Valve Wiring Loom 16 Valve clocks 16 Valve front cross member 16 Valve rad 16 Valve fuel tank (rust free!!) 16 Valve under body fuel pump & lines Windscreen Original sud wiring loom Original sud fuse box Spare steering rack Master cylinder and Servo Door, bonnet, boot seals Probably more I haven't listed. I bought it about 1 year ago and other than collecting all the 16 valve parts have not touched it. I've come to the realisation I will not have time to do anything with it for many years, very young family and an S2 33 thats turned into a major weldathon! I have the V5 in my name and the car has been dry stored since it was taken of the road nearly 10 years ago. It will make a seriously cool retro track car or with a few more parts (lights etc) will go back on the road. I can email further pics if required, viewing is welcome and recommended. £700

Hmm... like the look of this, but I already have too many cars. Don't suppose you'd be interested in a swop for an MOT'd and running Mk2 Scirocco would you? I have a choice of 2 - an '85 GTX, or a '92 Scala. Both are 1.8 injection models. Fairly tidy. lots of miles, but with new suspension bushes and so on. The '85 is standard in Silver, and the '92 is mildly modded in Metallic Black.
If you're not after a swap, I'd be very interested, but need to make room in the barn first.

Hey Al! Yeah me neither! But the blue paint (hammerite) on the wheel arch and the non-symetrical rear panels (look immediately below the rear light apertures, Heriot-Watt roundabout tree incident) are a dead giveaway. And the vanilla-coke paint scheme as well :-) After I left Edinburgh I drove it for a couple of years in Essex until some old curse word clipped it where it was parked on the street, and broke the rear axle and bent a wheel, and i didn't have the time to fix it up again. I sold it onto to www.justsuds.co.uk and imagined it would be rusting away somewhere in a field by now. But great to see it still exists! I'd buy it but i live in Germany now...

Hey Simon, Great to fill in some of the history, I bought it from Phill Snelling who owned Justsuds a few years ago. It had sat in his garage for the previous 8 years prior to me buying it a year ago. Its really really solid. The reg is XEC..Y is it your old car? Cheers Steve

Fair enough on the swap deal. I am interested, but I really need to shift some metal first. If you've still got it in a couple of months we can hopefully do a deal, but I've got a 750sq ft barn that's chock full of cars. No more till I make some space! If you move on the engine before then I'm not worried. I'd mostly be interested in the rolling shell, but would have the engine if you still had it. I think you've priced it pretty sensibly, so I wouldn't be trying to beat you down on price, based on what I've seen of it.
