Was having a look about last night for a 'Porsche forum' , i came across, Tipec - The Independent Porsche Enthusiast Club - bit of a mouth full i know ,
I spotted its their annual gathering today, free entry too, on a field at Hatton Farm Village nr Stratford, Google maps said it was only about 75 miles away.. Weather was looking good so we thought why not, at least if it turned out to be a bit poo we could go to the farm village anyway.
Set off this morning at 8.30, filled up and cruised up, arrived just before 10 and was in the front row of 'Porsche general parking'
Was a shame really that they hadn't organised the parking a little better, getting the various models to park up.. but still..
had a little wander to a few trade stalls, and then a wander round the cars.
A couple of 924's, quite a few 928's, more 944's and a whole load of 911's in their various forms, the nevwer ones, pretty much anything newer than about '95 doesn't interest me at all, but the older ones do..
We had a good walk round, looking at the various specs, differences between othe 944's to ours etc blah blah, decided i like it best on Teledials, but would love some of the fuchs from the 80's 911 on it.. not as keen of the 944 on the cookie cutters and D90's, especially not as keen on them with the newer spec wheels..
We then had a little walk down to the 'car boot and dog show' field, tiny car boot sale and a small agility dog display made anice break for an hour, then time for aburger and another wander round.. was getting really hot by this point.. anyway.. pics...
Ours
Totally gorgeous early 911
mmm deep dish fuchs
968
really liked the stance on this one
another favourite of mine
nice in brown
Not sure on the black bbonnet - even tho it was carbon fibre
liked the Martini stripes on this one
Wendy spotted this Herald parked up and loved it
Loved this 356 - was parked next to the minters, Wendy and I loved it, i wanted to drive it home, but £14500 said otherwise..
Not so many others like it, nor got it from the comments i heard of people walking round tho, lol
'Arty'
We popped to the other field..
Hairy the piano player made Wendy jump as he said 'hello' when she walked up to it..
Cool ice Cream early transit van
Ah doggies
Back to the car for a spot of lunch and a little chill out
i then swapped the lense to the 70-300 for some zoom action
I do love some of the detail with this lens too
