Opening the photo archives - 10th May

Kevfromwales suggested in another thread yesterday that I ought to get scanning in some of my old photos. I'd been thinking about doing it for a while to be honest as it might be nice to have some of them in a digital format. Anyhow, I took photos at almost every car related thing I went to from my mid teens onwards and there's an obvious rod related slant to them since Street Machine and Custom Car changed my life in '89. I thought I might start this thread and then update it every so often each time I scan and upload some more.

These first few were taken at a varied show at North Weald in early '91 and I think I went along having seen it advertised in SM or CC. Obviously my dad had to drive me in those days. I'm not sure what camera I was using here to begin with as I didn't have anything with a zoom of any sort until my 17th (I think) birthday.

Experinece of the day was seeing a nitro funny car doing a demo burnout on the runway. Difficult to forget your first time Lots of photos of Ferraris and such ( I was 16 remember....) but here's the "customs"















Then we've got a Street Machine sponsered "Hot Sunday" at Santa Pod in June '91. Photos of anything on the strip are not great due to 35mm lens but here's one of Terry Cooke's (?) 7/8 scale Pro Mod Chevy burning out.
