What a superb day. I don't know what the final vehicle count was (12? 14? 16?), but yet again the legendary chilled-out RR vibe was in abundance as we (and assorted kids/dogs/spouses) spent the day bench-racing, necking coffee/burgers from the (excellent) chuck-wagon, and generally chilling out in the weak but surprisingly warm (this afternoon, anyway...) sunshine.

If you missed this one, fear not....we'll be doing it all again next March to kick off the 2010 show/race/drag seas
on.

Thanks to everyone who turned up. Here are a few pics to document the day, those of you who were there, please feel free to add your own.

Not the best year ever for me, but this cracking day out did wonders for my mojo. No matter what happens, I'm RR till I die.

Great pics BD, looks like a relaxed few hours by the sea, wish I could have been there but I didn't roll out of bed till well after 10am after a busy couple of evenings partying and couldn't face the drive :P

We were in the top cafe car-park, and saw you coming past...we had no idea at the time which car park was the most suited, looks like you were on the middle one which was a bit sharp entry-wise for lowered cars. The Unity Farm access point is the best one as the entrance ramp's dead flat, with an escape route past the speed humps. Free parking as well!!!!!

The next one's scheduled for sometime in the Spring....quite possibly Sunday 28th March which is the Sunday before Easter.

Yeah the entrance I used was rather steep, not used that one before, just seemed like the most obvious one as you said beach and Brean Down, the one by the cafe doesn't have vehicle access to beach. but no worries, was a bit of a last minute decision to come down, and we had a nice wander in the fresh air and sunshine.

Ah well... next time :)

Thanks for the kind words......in closing I'd like to share this photo with you. I knew as soon as I looked at it on the camera what I wanted to do with it, so here, with apologies to the guys behind the poster for the iconic 1966 Bruce Brown surfing movie 'Endless Summer', from which I have shamelessly cribbed the style, is my new desktop wallpaper.

Plagiaristic? Maybe. But it sums up the vibe I get from this place every time I log on.

Thanks for getting this arranged Brian - sorry I was late but had to squeeze in an important family get-togehter beforehand.

Great location and some excellent photos that sum up the meet. I just wish I'd got there earlier to catch up with those that left before 2.30 (my tardy arrival time!)

Funniest bit for me was the thumbs up I got from the warden on the way out. Here's a possible plan for the next one - wait until the beach empties completely (5pm) and ask him nicely if he turns a blind eye and lets us rip on the sand for 5 mins then out before he locks the gates??

Now there's an idea! Brian, are you able to produce a large resolution version of that?? If it's OK with you I'd love to get that printed and hang it prominantly (sp?) down at the unit ;D ;D

Nice work - it looks awesome!
