The RR Beach Party at Brean
« Thread Started on Oct 18, 2009, 7:10pm »

well I nearly didn't go but really glad I did ;D ;D ;D

Me son and 2 mutts heading for the beach woohoo, Got there late as I grabbed son from his rugger match in bristol on the way there.
Took a guess at which car park it was by turning left when it felt right and got it right at first attempt ;)
On to the beach and very quickly saw a franticly waving Brian Damaged a bit down the beach. Parked up twixt Ratters MK1 escy and Rodits very low Corrado.
Some had already came and went, and a few more turned up later so a busy day on the whole. Really good to catch up with peeps again.
Roll on Beach party 2, march '10 ?
Pics at http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a374/KitenSk8/Beach%20party%2009/ quite a few involving mutts I'm afraid :)

Nothing.....Dyane went to its new home yesterday, for the forseeable future it's my 5hit-box '98 Citroen Xantia TDi daily. Cheap, quiet, warm, reliable, dull. Doesn't stop me photographing/writing about cool stuff, though!

Today I was riding shotgun in Rodit's VW Corrado (we live about 3 miles apart).

Well I went, but didn`t see anyone, although I got there about 11.30. I even texted Bruce because I thought I got the wrong time or place.

I disappeared about 1ish I think to take the opportunity to visit the folks instead. I bet you all turned up at 1.01pm didn`t you?

Regards, Billy nomates. ;)

Hi Andy,

As you might have seen, I did manage to make it after all - but not until nearly 3pm!

There was some confusion about which part of the beach everyone was on. I went straight to Brean Sands (most northern part before the headland), paid my £2.00, got onto the beach to find no one there!

A quick call to Alan (Grunty) and I discovered they were actually on Berrow Sands which was a mile or so further south. Free to get on as well!

No ones fault - just a lesson to learn for next time that there are a few places to access the beach and it seems that the Berrow part is easier to access for lower vehicles due to the steep ramp at the Brean end.

Sorry I missed you but had the whole family commitment thing to get out of the way first. Next time will be bigger & better I am absolutely sure. ;D

Ahh, no wonder I didn`t see anybody! That ramp was a bit tight for a TR7. No problems with the family thing mate, it`s gotta be done.

Actually, I haven`t been to Brean since I was a kid, I had forgotten how nice it was there, and it was a cracking drive up the M5, top down and heater on. I took some decent pics of the car on the beach which I will try to post later (if I can figure out how).
