Looking for some opinions on what I should do with my side-stripes: I quite like them, so I don't want to remove them, but I dunno if it looks a bit odd with them ending where they do, now that I've removed the plastic bumper end caps. Should I extend them? leave them as they are? Or has anyone got any clever ideas?

I think either lose them altogether as the car looks great in silver or if your gonna do stripes how about something like this: But the stripes in black?

I've seen pics of similar capris without the stripes and it didn't look quite "right" to me. As you can probably guess by the pics, muscle cars are really my inspiration for it. Removing the rubbing strips would be good ideally, but I'm worried I'll end up with too much of a patchwork look after the various touch up jobs, and I don't want to pay out for a full respray lol. I know the laser is not really very deisrable or "cool", but I quite like the existing stripes tbh (although "S" stripes would be cool too Do people agree that they look a little odd as they are?

looks to busy as it is, too much going on. Loose the stripes or the strips. I'd lose them both and go for something like the Shelby has (photo is of a new one for easy of Google LOL but the original is similar) If you are clever you can cover over where the repairs from the rubbing strip removal were with the stripe... No paint patching required...

I'm for loosing all that is currently there. But if kept I don't think the stripe looks odd ending at the wheel arches. Nice Wheels.
Shelby sill stripes with PINTO instead of GT500, or just the straight forward FORD, or prehaps even the cubic inches of the pinto rounded to the nearest 50, or BHP rounded to the nearest 10 with GT infront?

Not clever enough to think of that, but maybe enough to do it now you've given me the idea! I really like that actually! I'm for loosing all that is currently there. Shelby sill stripes with PINTO instead of GT500, or just the straight forward FORD, or prehaps even the cubic inches of the pinto rounded to the nearest 50, or BHP rounded to the nearest 10 with GT infront? Good ideas also, might have to do that! GT100 doesn't sound too good though! Although hopefully it will be more like GT140 when I've finished modifying. Cubic inches works out to 122 so not much better. Have seen one done with just "capri" in place of GT350, might go with that, or maybe even just GT

Some of the American Capris had stripes like those GT500 ones.

You used to be able to buy a stripe kit like the Shelby had with "Capri" instead of "GT500" on it from car accessory places back in the day. They made them with Escort, Viva, Mini, Cortina, Datsun, Custom, GT, Cruisin' etc etc on as well.
