looks cleaner without the wing but i still prefer one with it!!! Its like taking a whaletail off a cossie..... WOW @ the pics, this is supercar week on RR, and i'm loving it!!! Gorgeous pics, epic roadtrip win, win, win! If, no WHEN, i do my european roadtrip I want to do it in something memorable, it'll never be something as iconic and exotic as a Lamborghini or Ferrari, but maybe I might be able to stretch to a Porsche or something semi exotic

Harry collected the car from Octane in Sant'Agata and drove it home again - covered in Evo. ;D Ah, I thought this rang a few bells, I think I read the trip back in Evo a few weeks ago. As a coincidence, my now departed E32 had the same family of number plates... E641 JAR

This is so epic it gives me chills. ;D skinnylew - i've always wanted a rs500 and remove the wing Sierra wings are on there for a reason, not for decoration, i wouldnt take the wing off if you intend exeeding the national speed limit to often.

Did the Escort RS Cosworth with the whale tail spoiler handle any different to the one's with the small spoiler option?.

Read it in the mag and it's a great article. But prefer Harrys drive back story, he said that while blatting it down the autosrada at a "good" speed, it must have seemed like some sort of ghost car, a blast from the past in a car that is no longer used in that way, 1200 miles in 2 days, the previous owner did 1200 miles per year.
Harry, your a hero!

I'm aware of what wings are for I'm also aware of the sierras bad stock aerodynamics, although i've driven a few of them over 200km/h without wings I just think they look better without them, although i'm sure i'd put it back on if i'd do trackdays in it. Same with the lambo. And most other cars for that matter.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

This: ...must have sounded immense 3 seconds after that pic was snapped... Probably not as immense as you imagine As by my reckoning the car would have either been stationary or traveling backwards past the photographer when the shutter closed Nice photos. I might read the article later Sorry this is off topic but that's incorrect and i'm not sure how you came to that conclusion! The rear lights suggest where the car was at it's last point in the picture, the lights 'drew' the red streaks and they first enter the picture on the far left. If the car was going backwards, the line they drew would be on top of the car. If it was stationary it wouldn't be slightly transparent, you can see the road lines through the car, which suggests it was moving forwards past the camera as the picture was taken. Just sayin'. OT, wow what a wonderful machine!

Sorry this is off topic but that's incorrect and i'm not sure how you came to that conclusion! You've made me go back and have another look. I agree it came forwards into the frame because you can see where he put the brakes on to come to a stop. (If it was still moving you would see no car at the end of the light trails.)

This: ... ...must have sounded immense 3 seconds after that pic was snapped... And then would have sounded immense two minutes later when I'd turned around and come back for another run. The again, two minutes later when...you get the picture.
