I was out and about the other day and spotted this in the car park trying to hide all incognito like but as much as i tried to hide it couldnt the colour is the same as the High Viz Jackets the Rail workers wear, yes Really ! some of you might have thought what a awful thing to do to a Toyota but........ and it doesnt stop on the outside, the picture is bad yes but look close, it has parts of the dash, door cards, centre console painted in the same orange High Viz as the outside, and the stitching on the seats, dash and embroiderd Aston Martin in the back rest was all in the same colour ! OH MY ;D

haha, Wondered if they would go ahead and make those..
Expensive too iirc.
Just an aygo underneath...
CYGNET IS THE BESPOKE LUXURY COMMUTER CAR; IT HAS THE SAME ASTON MARTIN PHILOSOPHY OF DESIGN, CRAFTSMANSHIP AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL, ALLIED TO EXQUISITE FORM AND SURFACE LANGUAGE RESULTING IN A CAR OF EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY – JUST SMALLER.
Ummm ^^ isnt it made by a totally different company?

Just an aygo underneath... Ahem, IQ! I actually quite like it and if you've already gone to the fuss of buying an overpriced cygnet, then why not do it like this, huh?

I read in a Dutch car mag it takes about 150-200 hours (i can't remember the exact time) to convert an iQ into a Cygnet, and that includes new dash, repaint (also in places Toyota never puts paint) etc. etc. etc. So it's probably more Aston Martin then you'd think!

I don't dislike it either but god does it glow if you see a Cygnet look at the Glass around the car, where the glass used to have Toyota kite mark on the screen etc it has been sand blasted off and a Aston Martin etched above it on the cheap, i have not fitted a screen to one of these yet but i bet the glass from the Aston dealer will cost five times the cost of a Toyota one, still Aston's may have sort of built a car that will start in the morning ;D

Having sat in a Cygnet, I *very nearly* get why someone would buy one. The interiors really are a very nice place to be. If I had the sort of money where the price wouldn't matter, it's the best city car I can think of.

well speced up IQ is a pretty nice place to be for a small car, and even basic ones really aren't. nice plum leather on IQ3 is very nice. that said i'd prefer something far more striped out, cheap plastic flimsy build quality. Came out of mrs siecento into a IQ and other than size worlds apart. pity

Do ya know what.......
......I quite like that ;D
The cygnet is one of those cars where the price doesn't really matter, it won't be on the list for people wanting a small city car, neither will it even be on the radar of people who are after a luxury car.
It'll only be bought by people with sufficient money where the price won't matter.
I do have about 40 cans of fluorescent orange paint......hmmmmmmm............

Top marks to this guy for not hiding his light under a bushel - a car as polarising as this is bound to grab attention... why not revel in it by making it look like part of the Dyno-Rod fleet?!

well... no not for me anyway. As far as i'm concerned that's pretty awful. Not the colour though as it reminds me of when i was 15 and a guy had a 3 door sierra with an RS500 kit and turbo technics turbo'd V6 in it, the whole car was painted that coulour including the roll cage and dashboard, only visible non orange things were the wheels and tyres, seats, steering wheel, exhaust and lights

I've driven a cygnet, as well as "proper" Astons, such as modern day Vantage, and the interiors are absolutly unremarkable...

As a toyota, I can see the appeal VERY easily - small economical car, with non-too shabby styling, but as an Aston? No and as for the colour:

It's on youtube too. I like it, though it would be infinitley cooler if the owner alo had a big Aston in the same colour.

Alas, noone was brave/mad enough to order a Cygnet in that colour. It's one of Aston's press cars judging by the 'KX' registration. I've seen it around Warwick a lot. The place is crawling with them since we are just down the road from Gaydon.
