Spotted a six wheeler cx today near Brands Hatch.
Very bizarre. It looked like it was factory built or a very good conversion?
Anyone throw any light on this?

That's a bit mental!!
This was a silver estate but looked completed standard except the extra 2 wheels on the back.

Probably a Tissier conversion, they made them for the Hollander firm to transport newspapers across Europe at high speed...

I love this thread. It's proof that no matter how bonkers a manufacturer makes a car, or how huge (CX estates are enormous!) there is always someone willing to take things a little further!

Michelin also had some as a road test laboratry (sp?) A wheel in the center of the car could be lowered to test new tyres in various places/conditions.
Guess those were 7 wheelers

Merde, bad link due to frames of some sort, but the whole www.oto6.free.fr is full of 6-wheelers!

Dayum!
I'm sitting here with my jaw on the floor!
These are great! Not a lover of French cars, but I'd have a CX estate in a blink!
