I  the Mercedes Geländewagen. Always have done. There's just something about them... I'm not really a 4x4 kinda guy but I'd love one of these. They don't half hold their value well judging by what's around on Autotrader! I prefer the early ones to the later blinged-up 'uns. Utilitarian chic ;D So who has had one? What are they really like? Anyone got any cool pics? I have some to get the thread going

I too share your G love and likewise would like to know more about them. This one's heading in the right direction for me, surprised there aren't more pics of lifted ones, is there a reason?

Anything that has pyramid shaped wing mounted indicators the size of a suitcase is always going to be a winner in my eyes. Plus the fact they can accommodate stupidly big tyres and they are hewn from a solid block of titanium....what's not to like. I'll have mine in brown over cream please. Like this one I saw at the Enfield Pageant, but I'll take the SWB and stick some 37" MT's on there while you're at it. And a winch. Yep...that'll do.

I think they look the nuts. I always think that if you were to drop one from a height, they would cause the earth to move from its orbit rather than break! It is just the air of solidness they give off.

Capable - equal to LR(and larger payload options on bigger units!) Overlander Tom Sheppard moved from LR to G-Wagen, and is very happy with the decision after working for LR for many years. Or if something a little quicker is called for.....
