".....to a problem that never existed" You know when you make something utterly pointless just because you can?* Well, that's exactly what we've done with some scrap that was lying around at Area 52. More details to come..... * no pun intended

Needs more pressure 3,000 newton metres not enough for you then? Here's a video of it on the second run. The frame was still held together with G-clamps at this stage... It's very slow, but that's kinda the point - it's great to see the can gradually get crushed. The noise is great too...

Frame now welded together, but more bracing will be going in. Some other tweaks added like a grip ring to keep the can in the centre. Oh, and the obligatory beacon added. Warning buzzer yet to be fitted and still lots more to do on the electrics side of things (Jrevillug is sorting that) It's going to be cool when finished....and portable unlike most of the ones online. Sure there are faster ones out there, but that was never the point of our one.

Oh....and we haven't tried an unopened can yet, but I am sure that will be happening soon.

I wasn't thinking of the speed, but maybe a loading mechanism.
Also, is there a world record for the most crushed can?

OOh Ooh, You should make one to run off the PTO of That Landrover for festival use Errr.....Rover P4's never had PTO. As I said, it's portable anyway and runs of 12V so will be coming to the Gathering. That was part of the idea....
