My screen also goes red when I try to decipher what you've written. However, that's mostly because your spelling makes me self-harm.

I think this car is awesome, really great example of "less is more", nothing fancy or shiney, hell the panels don't even line up but it looks all the better for that.
Very interested to see where this goes now the roof is chopped, nice work that man!

I've just found a load of pics on Facebook, so I thought i'd do a thread and tell the story of how it went from being in red primer to how it is now. Here's a few pics of how is was when it was just my bro's in 2011. You can see the tyre and peg marks from a BMX sesh stalling on the bonnet The Fiesta was about 2 inches to high to fit under the trailor but we forced it under slightly pushing the roof down and covering it in thick oil,we later regretted this when we came to paint it! This is the car park where we live with some of our others car and our mate's beige Fiesta. This is how alot of the dents appeared and why some of the panels don't line up, but was fun! ;D You can't really see in the pic but he's hopping off the bonnet into a whip! and I used it on the poster for the next S.O.S meet. Enroute to Retro Gathering 2011. The Tax ran out, my Bro bought a daily and worked on his other Fiesta (not pictured) so it sat in the car park. The Chevette and Caddy are mine and the Capri's my girlfriend's. After being parked up months went by,my Bro didn't have the cash to put it back on the road and considered selling it, after a few more months went by we decided to make it a joint project, as it was our 5th car between us we wanted to make it as ridiculous and impractical as possible and with Retro Gathering 2012 only a few months away we had that as a deadline. Then the fun started! The first thing we thought of was to cut the pillars out and have no side windows No going back now! Choppy chop chop! I'll put some more pics up tomorrow.

After cutting both door pillars out and the middle on one side, we had it picked up to take to our mate Shaun's for the window gaps to be welded , obviously on the back of a Mk1 Transit After alot of scraping and bouncing it was finally off. You can see the black oil marks on the roof from the truck trailor and a few yellow ones from squeezing under the barrier at Staples Torquay. This was 1 month before Retro Gathering and 3 weeks before Southwest motorshow the new deadline. Shaun was hampered by the great British weather and after 2 weeks of battling against the rain had welded the back windows and 1 door. With just a week before the Southwest Motorshow we decided to take it as it was and leave the door with him. Back at HQ! With a fair bit to do we decided to both take the week off work and blitz it! To Do List change boot and bonnet and badeless grill. Paint bumpers, wheels and car. Cut headrests off. Lower it more. Swap tyres and different wheels. fit seatbelts. Here it is with the Mk2 Fiesta steels and because we wanted it super low we changed the tyres from 165/70 to 165/55 The weather picked up and we had most of it done, 2 days before the show my Brother realised the MOT had expired the month before so the day we were going to paint it we had to raise it to about a 60 mm drop so it would get on the ramp. Here it is half way through rubbing down and alot higher. Luckily the Fiesta's a sound little car so it passed the MOT no worries. The only concern he had with removing the pillars were making sure the seatbelt mounts were securely in.The afternoon after the MOT we flared the arches as much as possible to clear the tyres with the planned new lows! It was always our intention to have a crack at the Lowest car comp at Retro Gathering and also wanted to how low it would go on skinny 13 inch steels, so we cut a few more coils off the back to lower it 40mm and modified the front suspension to drop it about another 30mm that and changing the tyre size lowered an already low car about 70-80mm all round! we finished rubbing the car down and painted it long into the night. The bodywork was solid but every panel had a dent and there were so many scratches! We never intended the car to be a show winner, we just had a spare Fiesta so wanted to do all the things we bantered about after a few drinks! ROOFCHOP! Matt paint has been done to death and the bodywork was to bad to paint in gloss without it showing every mark, so we decided to try painting it in Hammerite with rollers! Were not really into the fake Ratlook that alot of cars have these days so we went with a shiny Postbox red. This is after one coat put on with rollers about 10 hours beforehand the pic was taken. The Hammerite went on thick and covered all of the minor imperfections but still had the dents from when it was in red primer, which we liked because the car has always been a rad little car so glad its kept its character.

With the paint still wet we made it to the Southwest Motorshow! we were pysched we had only MOT'd and painted it the day before and was the first time my bro drove it after its makeover. With a week to go before Retro Gathering we had only a few minor things so we took it back to shaun's to weld the lip on the front arch and weld the wiper and boot lock holes. Bright and early the morning of Retro Gathering! Remove front plate, Check Bandana,Check Deer Head, Check! Enroute to Retro Gathering

Since Retro Gathering we had only taken it to S.O.S meets, then over Christmas we went to South West Coast Customs and this happened.

Cheers for the comments guy's, Haha yeah Howie! following the Hotrod theme it had to have a roofchop! so 4 inches was chopped off the height of the roof. I have'nt got many pics of it with the chop so i'll put up the crappy ones i've got. it hasn't got any windows at all in it at the mo. that's where we're at now, we've got loads more planned, i'll try and keep the thread upto date.
