The ITB's through a hole in the bonnet thing is not a very good idea unless you are putting a large scoop over it later. The top of the bonnet is a low pressure zone, not the best spot to situate an intake.

Ivan141: thanks mate didnt no that i was thinking on running seperate filters out of there with a scoop over or makin a plenum and putting a buldge coz at the front of the the car there is a big inbult scoop which was orignally for the heater inside the car. I'm in 2 minds but have loads of time to see befor it will be finished
Ian: yer got loads of work ahead but hopefully il get it done befor summer next year ready for a few track days and a RWUB :-)

i agree mate there amazing engines! React well to boost on a std setup and there easy to get big power with the vitara pistons for a proper turbo build! ive got a spare block which will be ready for turbo in time :-)

Will the modifications to the chassis require a IVA once its done? I would like to run mx5 suspension on the back and it was actually something i was thinking about in the future, i didnt know it had been done before! Its good seeing it done in pictures to help me image how to do it! haha I havent got the engine in mine yet so it looks pretty boring in pictures if I'm honest! retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=readersrides&action=display&thread=122389

Yours looks good mate love the wheels just abit too small :-) I'm not sure tbh about the iva inspection once its finished i reacon it would need some kind of assesment. And as for my rear sus from what i can see i think there from a tvr there way too hard for the car so I'm goin to hafto get some softer maybee slightly shorter springs depending on the ride height once i put my new shell on and everything is inside. the mx5 rear end is a good choice as there easy to get and cheap for a decent lsd.

not got much money but i still want to work on the car so i pulled up and fort hmmm a flip front sounds like a plan, so i put a slim disc on my angle grinder and i got to work and cut it all off lol don't worrie guys the shell is scrap. it looks like its possable but don't really want to start cutting away the good shell and ruin it, I'm in 2 minds of what to do

4" sounds like plenty, you can get a nice thick core rad and a slimline fan in there.
What's the planned engine spec?

Nice :-) have you got any build piks of it? Would like to have a look. And i cant wait till this is on the road hopefully looking at 145bhp on 13's for now till i have extra cash flow for my turbo engine :-)
The only thing I'm worried about is a iva test as the chassis has been altered but I'm a way off that for now just gotta concentrate on making my pedal box and getting some cash to finish the shell off and get a cage sorted
