well one of the others suggested I start a thread on here, so here goes. I only got this old girl about 6 months ago, up until then she was owned by her original owner (a military electrician) until 6 years ago and then his son for the remaining time until I purchased her. one of the things that I really love about the car is that she has been a daily driver all of her life. little repairs have been carried out when neccessary, bits of the interior professionally repaired, a respray 6 years ago, complete mechanical overhaul ( and I mean COMPLETE) about 10 years ago, and besides being in amazing condition she is still close to 100% original. I have kept up the tradition and still drive her every day, and with the exception of some tuning niggles and a bit of heaviness on fuel she has been an absolute delight, never failing to get a response and always happy to travel any distance in comfort (within a month of purchasing I had her on a 900km drive in 1 day and discovered she is happier at 110kph then 100 and sits on the road like its a stroll in the park) from what I understand she is a bit of a rare beast, 67 was the last year that 4 doors were made and not many were made and she was a late 67, she was also fitted with an upspec (b18b) engine with a reported 10.5:1 compression from the factory. hopefully there are some other aussy amazon owners on here as I have yet to see another in the flesh!

You're right about the production figures DD.
I have a book with all the production numbers of every Volvo made up to 1995 (I bought it from the factory museum in Gothenburg). I'll find out the exact number for you when I get home.
1966 saw the most 4 door 121 Amazons ever produced, so not only is my car shonky, it's not even rare! 30,472 produced that year.

Thats a real time warp car. Gotta be honest though, the best bit has to be the seat colour. Want that colour now!

According to my book only 9160 Amazons were manufactured from the end of 1966 into 1967. After that the 130 came in as the main model.
Total number of Amazons produced: 667, 300. Wonder if they still have the first and the last?

Thats a real time warp car. Gotta be honest though, the best bit has to be the seat colour. Want that colour now! i lovre the fact t hat the dash lights are green too to match the interior and the paint any plans for it at all. if u mention matt black paint then I think RR UK will fashion a boat and invade Aus nothing major, just subtle touch ups, theres a little bit of rust in the doors, and i have a couple of small plans to personalise it a little without damaging the originality, also wondering if a small sub box can be wedged under the back seat thanks for all the comments guys, and good to see theres some other amazonians on the forum too
