just found the site and have spent the last hour reading some of the projects great stuff.ive been working on my sunbeam for the last 4 years and its nearing completion,still loads to do but the bulk has been done.ill post a few pictures up,its come a long way from a 1.6 brown auto to a cosworth turbo powered orange beast..  cheers gaz

started life as a 1.6 auto in brown was bought to reshell my ti which was beyond repair.it had one owner and 46k on the clock if only the old boy knew what I had in mind don't think he would of sold it to me ha ha the only pictures I have are a few mid prep 4 years ago..

then took the car to a friends unit for a few months to try to get the hard bits done

desided to push the engine back abit to help with the clearence problems and chassis mounted it also. then I bought a saphire cosworth alloy header tank and knotched the inner win as I was a bit tight for space .

finally got my engine finished fully rebuilt,low comp pistons,new bearings seals ect.

just for the road and a bit at pod, maybe a few track days.should be quick and a bit of a handfull , but fun all the same ive got 1000 miles running it in to get used to it .got all my fueling stuff ready to go as soon as the weather picks up a bit, alloy tank swirl pot ,044 pump and all the internal ptfe braided hoses. then next is to put my new quaiff axel on with the polly bushes and brace.and finally finish the cage and floor strengthing, only body work bits to do is touch up a few knocks from storage and fit a carbon fibre bonnet. cheers gaz

Now that is all kinds of awesome! I had a brown Chrysler Sunbeam for my first car and loved it. It ended up in grey and white primer patches in an urban camo stylee, a real shame I don't have any pictures...
Anyway, that looks hard as nails, good work

should be quick if I can keep it in a straight line . my golf is hard enough with 140 at the wheels and front wheel drive,so 300 + through the rear wheels should be fun . carnt wait  cheers for the comments ..gaz

not got any build photo`s of the golf.started life as a 1.3 driver,now it has a 1.8 16v engine and box with brand new webber 45`s,coil overs,280mm brakes ,big servo and master cylinder can stop on a 10p.fully polly bushed,its a right little ripper nice and light
