Have been lingering around this forum for long enough, so time to share some of what I get up to. This is a write up for my weekend weapon, which is currently in the mechanical gym that is my garage, getting prepped for summer.
It’s a 1992 JZA70 Supra. That’s the Japanese only version that came with the 1jz twin turbo lump. Its also a 5 speed manual.
Stuffs its had dones:
HKS Frontmount intercooler
Greddy TypeR BOV
Mechanical LSD
Rear Cusco strut brace
Full Bomex aerokit including mirrors.
Despoilered
Blitz SUS Induction kit
HKS Twin plate clutch
Lightweight titanium gearknob and deep dish steering wheel
Apexi PowerFC ECU including hand controller
Endless Brakediscs and pads
Goodrich Braided brake hoses
Blitz SBC-ID Electronic Boost Controller
Blitz Power Meter-ID (Pairs with the EBC for increased functionality)
All was fine and rosy, had a great summer last year with her, then this happened:
Argument with a Luton van. So off the road it came to save it over winter and do some maintenance and cunning modifications… These include:
HSD Coilovers fitted:
Electric fan to replace the hydrofan viscous stock affair:
Full leather interior conversion
HKS Exhaust system to replace old Kakimoto one
Some new balljoints on up front.
Repair/Repaint offending areas (still in progress)
This was looking so tatty as I had to do a temp job to stop it rusting. Its now got the benefit of being in a garage so is looking a bit better these days.

Boot install:
Which I am now debating. Might finish this, might strip it all out.
Cusco Rollcage (on route from Japan as we speak)
Denso 680cc Injectors (will be fitted during summer as a remap will be required)
Carbon Fibre Scuttle Panel (in the post)
Suspension set up – its only fitted and put to a ride height I like, could do with a proper professional fettle.
