My parents had one of these when I was a kid... curse word all power, but they sound pretty cool
I liked the geeky things like the wind down rear quarterlight & the 'pop up' rear seats
I'd buy one if I saw one for sale.... but they mostly rusted away.... I think my parents one got binned because the heater matrix failed or something poor like that!

IIRC the 300zx was a twin-turbo so even more reason to do the conversion

My parents had one of these when I was a kid... jolly pain in the backside all power, but they sound pretty cool I liked the geeky things like the wind down rear quarterlight & the 'pop up' rear seats I'd buy one if I saw one for sale.... but they mostly rusted away.... I think my parents one got binned because the heater matrix failed or something poor like that! I dunno 160ish bhp isnt that bad its better than a rover V8! sounds the nuts though i think it goes well, 100mph 7 up is nothing to be sniffed at in my opinion for the era of the car. Cheers for the comments everybody

Love the colour -never seen a 300C in that hue on the road. I've seen a 300C saloon accelerate -the old girl didn't hang around!

That would be awesome as a drift car, needs another couple of inches out of the front though.

yeah does need to come down further at the front for sure but it seems to have settled quite a bit more since the pics. Going to convert the front struts to coilovers as there is barely anything left of the spring as it is. They use inserts which is an awesome bonus so i can use one of the universal coilover sleeve kits like on capris etc.
I don't think its a shame to drift it really I'm not going to be smashing it into walls and not competively drifting it just the odd practice day and DWYB at santapod etc so it shouldnt see any damage and anything that breaks will be repaired. Once i fancy changing it again it will be offered up on here first for the retro lovers rather than the banger racers. I rescued it from such a fate and ive had plenty of offers from people to race it. I have to keep it locked away cause I'm forever getting people knocking about it.

Haha, good to see this old bus still doing the rounds. It used to belong to my old man for quite a while. BTW, the Y30 estate engine is 150hp. Z31's are 178hp and turbo's are about 225hp but pretty tunable. Parts are becoming a problem for SOHC VG's now. The Z32 os DOHC and I'd imagine would be more trouble than it's worth to install. Remember, the Y30 still has a big steering box whick will get in the way which Z32's don't have. It'd probably be easier to fit an RB.

My grandfather bought ^^^ new. It was then handed down to my parents and eventually sold in the very early 90s when the power steering pump failed. I love 'em.
