I'd like to introduce you all to Big Red, he was in ironbridge, looking in a right sorry state, I wasn't even looking for a new van, but, I was on my way to the caff for a bacon sarnie and spotted him sat at the side of he road, a quick look round and I thought, WHY THE HELL NOT took it home and got stuck in, here's some pics: gallerylee.videopic.net/sorry, not quite up to speed with posting pics, pasting the link is all I know so far, a mate who already uses the forum is goin t give me a lesson later, so I'll have a blast in a bit

OOh yes, we like that. Why do I always instantly think "camper conversion" whenever I see a LT? Have a look here for a posting pics guide Clicky GuideOh, and welcome to the madness.

Love it! Any further plans? It looks massive in the back, would make a nice camper!

Yep, plan is now to do a camper fit out, got a fair bit of fabrication ahead of me, cos there's so much room I decided to give myself a challenge. It must have a corner sofa, the bed must be at least a double, and by the back doors I want at least 600mm deep by full width wide load space, and still have room for the sink and hobs.

Nice van
LT,s have a PCD of 5x160 and use spherical nuts to locate the wheels and not center bore. Where did you get your wellers? What size are they? and how are they located-center bore or spherical/taper nuts? They look good and I would like some for my LT31 LWB Hi-top camper. My one is 2.4 petrol as well. Not running just now as I'm looking for an inlet manifold.
cheers

Thanks bud, they're not wellers, they're Italian mangels to fit a landrover, I used a jig and drilled them to suit the PCD with tapered nuts on the rear and bolts for the front, don't think you'd be able to use them for yours as I'm only just under the total load rating for em. But give me a shout if you want to borrow my jig.

Doozer34: Thanks for the offer, better not risk it. Back to plan A and get adaptors for the Merc ML wheels I bought thinking my bus was 5x112 ( parts blow-up drawing supposedly from VW!). Anyway the wheels look good the LT looks top heavy with standard ones. What tyres are you using?

Merc rims would look cool bud, you thinkin of droppin it? I'm using van Tyres for the front and American cobra gt's for the rear all with high load ratings, just to be safe

Got some re-tempered springs with the van and dropped it a couple of inches and failed mot for sitting on bump-stops, so put it back up again. That was years ago. Now its my 14 yr old who will be in charge of how it looks this time around lol.
