I like that, bit more off the springs and loose the rubbing stips and it would be even better.
What's the specs on the wheels and tyres?

Tried to loose the rub strip but the first one i tried to pull off came with a large chunk of blue paint.. so was hastly stuck back on.. more will come off the springs but i got a bit scared to hack off 2 coils incase it was too much, but yes another half coil will come off soon.. with the camber adjusters it drives so much better it is like driving a different car.. wheels are midlands metalics 6x13 probably about mid 1980's wheels with 155 70 13 tyres and are actually 4x4" pcd but with some black magic i made them fit and they don't wobble..

Ahh, I've heard stories that some folk think taht they were getting the trim stuck on before the paint was properly dry in the factory. I'm somewhere around 3.5 off the front and 2.75 off the rear, and hoping to remove some more sometime. It's got the same size wheels and tyres as yours.

How does it feel with that many coils off. it made mine a bit firmer but not bouncy, worried if i take to many off i might spoil it..

Cool, another K11 on RR Shame about the rub strips, have a feeling I'm going to have the same issue. Love the wheels, they look big for 13's

get some camber bolts, easy to fit and look awesome, cant get the way it looks across in the pics but it does give the wheels a good stance..

did you try warming the side strips with a heat gun first? normally melts the glue just enough. having said that if it doesnt work you end up with molten side strips LOL

Hi all, went shopping yesterday and decided that the car was not low enough as when in the multi storey there was no scraping action going on, so this morning i cut 1 more coil from the front and 1/2 from the rear, thats done the trick much better, reckon i could get 1 more from the front and another 1/2 from the rear though, also removed the bumpstops from the front, drives very well considering its soo low.. Next project will be some new wheels, well i say new but what i mean is some old wheels modified..

I think it's safe to say that the days of having my car laughed at in school will soon be over.
I've had the opposite problem with my bumpstrips. plastic was falling of the doors on both sides, unfortunately the sticky stuff (stick-o-flex?) holding it on is still clinging onto the paint.
what size are the speakers in the doors? mine had no stereo when i got it and is currently running a pair in the parcel shelf.
Ps: nice wheels!

The door speakers are 6 1/2" components, if you do fit some make sure they are quite shallow as the window runner is quite close to the speaker apperture..

So today had a bit of time to spare at work, so i decide to set to work on my wheels i have wanted some wide steels for a long long time but they are just way too expensive to justify spending my hard earned cash on some..so i made some and heres's a quick rundown of how i did it.. Step one: i have the luxury of a tyre changing machine to work on which made life a lot easier, clamp one wheel into the machine..this is a standard 5 x 13 micra steel wheel, Step two: take one angle grinder and using a cutting disc hold it against the wheel while it turns in the tyre machine, this was an easier process than i thought it would be, you can just see in the pic where i have started to cut. Step three: with a dead blow hammer i carefully parted the wheel into two sections, like so.. and ended up with this I then repeated this step with another wheel, I needed to remove the wheel centre from one of the wheel halves, this was the hardest part, they are welded in four places with 2" long welds and the only way to part them was to cut round the weld then put the wheel in the press and force them apart So now i'm left with two rear wheel halves one with a centre and one without, all i have to do now is clean the rust and paint from the area to be welded then stitch them back together, i also have the luxury of a wheel balancer so the two halves were lined together very well before completing the weld, The end result is a 7 x 13 wheel that still retains the et17 offset, now by my calculations they should sit within the arches but give a much wider look, to finish them off i will have them media blasted than give them a lick of paint.. Three more to go..

They are going to look rad! Satin black with white letter tyres! Is the +17 the new offset that you have calculated from the increased width, they are something like +45 stock. Give some 165/55's a try on those. On a K11 with around 60mm of drop, pretty sure that there is scope for another coil off mine too, so you could loose the arch gap and your +17 would have them sitting nicely under the arch.
