Personally I don't think it works. A more subtle chop would've been better. Maybe if it was dragging it's on the floor ?

Yeah it definitely needs more lows, but that is neither hard or expensive on a Polo! Needs some better wheels as well.

it'd probably work better choppinga breadie rather than converting to a pick up..
would make the short lines of the breadie appear longer
shame things liek this arent easy anymore

shame things liek this arent easy anymore I don't think they actually measure the height of the car as part of the MOT, so all you'd have to do is find an MOT tester who's never seen a Polo before ;D Definitely would look better as an estate than a pickup.

As a pickup, it'll never get back on the road.

Unless you put a cover on the back and title it a coupé instead with a very large boot... supposedly.
Anyway, the above isn't about legalities it's about potential and I reckon this has it. Smaller wheels, shorter suspension, estate shape, properly finished bodywork and a splash of paint, it could be awesome.

Not chopped, but awesome: Like it appart from hes another one of the many that have bought square headlights and grille. But didnt think to get the trim from the bonnet too... It just covers up the round headlight cutouts.

The white pick up is super clean, and I love what he's done with the front bumper and valance. I'm looking at the picture and seeing so many little details that, as has been pointed out, it seems odd he didn't put a straight edge on the bonnet. Clearly, fabrication of a small detail isn't an issue with the rest of the build.

eh? why wouldn't it be legal to have it as a pickup? My scimitar's had the end chopped about, and turned into a pickup. Even told the insurance company, and they didn't particularly care!

It can't pass the BIVA as there's no class for it to go into or something... As an estate, it'd work I think...

Even told the insurance company, and they didn't particularly care! your scimitar has a chassis so you can chop the body any way you want. the polo is monocoque so biva territory. bring back the good old days where no one cared!
