Cheers guys, Simes the Group A mounts are fine for me. Although I don't mind a harsh ride, I find it more fun to drive I didn't get a build thread going as the reshell was fairly quick so didn't have much time for pictures etc..
I'll be changing the grille back to my old one if I can get the backing off without snapping any pins. Need a couple of driving lights too.
A great finish there I think. Good to see the spirit of the old one still living!
I do have a couple of things to ask mind you. How do you find the GHAs compared to other combinations you have had before on a 205? I am considering getting a set for my 106 (or the B6s), which seems to have quite a bit of the 205 character within it .
Looks great with the Rallye-esque stripes on it and the wheels just give the car a great touch, even though the Speedlines suited the old car .
The GHA's are perfect for road use imo, not too crashy. Although i'm only running 180lb springs due to running the standard torsion setup on the 309 beam, it still feels nice and firm and great fun to drive !
I know alot of people like using the Bilstein/GTi-6 dampers and Eibach springs but I wanted the adjustability that you get with the coilovers.
Cheers, I do still have my old valance but it's not the best condition, and the driving light holes have been cut out.
I could live with that mate, the holes are cut out on mine, but I've just had a bit of a towing "incident" which has bent up the towing eye and taken a chunk out of the valance with it More than happy to sort a courier etc if you're happy to wrap it up in something?
