Fantastic car with lots of quirky little touches , not a fan of the rear wing personally but then it's not my car anyway so if the owner likes it that's fine by me ;D Overall though , I love it !

Custom made ECU, if I recall. Hopefully the car will be fully featured in May's PPC with the E21 shoot. Its only a nightmare if you keep it, the engine don't care about any of that stuff, megasquirt or similar aftermarket ECU will do the job and you can bin the standard stuff as well as usually make more power with a custom map. Cheers guys. I'll keep an eye out for the article, see if I can make my own creation come to life a bit easier.

I would be interested to know how he got it working, as I have a similar engine to get running. The wiring and security stuff's a nightmare on them. we've put one in a vauxhall victor FE to take drifting. We're using a DTA S80Pro ecu, binning all the factory stuff as its a swine to work with. Also gives us plenty more control, and we'll be winding the blower up a bit too. Its mounted up but we have no time to wire it yet, though the loom is part way there, plumbing nearly done, just got a cage to make and bulkhead to fabricate, around paying customer work of course!

I was Pete's passenger for the Morris photoshoot, great car, great day out. It doesn't matter what style of car you like, he's manage to do something with it or put something on it, to offend. It's almost like he planned to do that!

yes I will have to own up It's mine.I've owned it for several years now .first it had a twin turbo ed princess 4 ltr R engine which melted a piston at the hotrod drags so then we fitted a 4.2 xj6 engine and a sniff of nos. the best run was 14.4 @ 93mph and then the devil called ebay tempted me with the XJR lump, only done 300 miles cost £625 .throw away wiring and get phil at extra efi to build me a megasquirt and get Mike at mustard city speed to wire it in.I swapped the xjr gearbox for a v12 jag box and 200 quid and made it fit then set about making the car stronger and more offensive.mapping is ongoing and 400 bhp should be obtainable fingers crossed.as to different wheel gaps if thats all you can find wrong you aren't looking very hard.

Having now seen it in the metal, I personally can't see a thing wrong with it, but then owners of cars are always their hardest critics. Kudos to you anyway.
