Awesome cars, out of the hundreds I've owned they stand head and shoulders above most else..

A T16 aero is a truly epic bit of kit, as happy blatting round a track as it is taking half a ton of bricks home from the builders merchants..

Nothing strange about that. The comparative lack of modded ones has got to be a plus too









OK, this one is 'not really mt cup of tea' though IMO the disc type wheels could work a treat with the Saab styling.

i did the brakes, took out the red interior [it was rare too] and did some other bits and bats, then did 107 average speed down the M1 while being followed by the police [didnt see the unmarked it was too far back]

i then traded it in for my first 3i when i came off my ban.

Awesome cars. rubbish on fuel, excellent practicality, fragile gearboxes. handbrake on the front on pre 1987 ones and my turbo had solid discs on the front that glowed orange [along with the manifold] when you gave it a battering.

the first pic of the red one is a rare "ruby edition" 900 T16S - they have lovely 1/2 leather interior.

the T16S saloons are quite rare, as most of them were hatchbacks. [what a massive boot it was too]

thats an early 8v turbo with "inca" wheels

they were also on Saab 99 Turbos too. really strange looking wheels and probably a curse word to clean

those are the badgers.

they would look awesome polished... wouldn't like to keep that up though once its done..... mission.

i find these classic 900s the only cars where 3 spoke alloys look good.

I really liked mine. It was a non-turbo 2.0 but still was lively enough and really practical. I drove Tonka12's T16 which was a total animal, I loved that!
I'd have another, preferably a turbo.

yeah i was happy with the grey one [23mpg wasnt great though]

i bought the turbo cause it was cheap - and really it spoilt the other one for me cause it was awesomely fast.

the gutting thing is the rarity of the turbo i had - i think its dead now.

they are 200 bhp models with a red ecu and some other stuff. what colour is it? does it have the twin exhaust?

it annoys me when people have no intention of doing anything to a car but wont sell it to anyone, its just sat there for years and years. As an enthusiast you see it deteriorate over time and then if its really bad you end up seeing it being towed away by the scrap man.

is this the case or is it used?

I couldn't agree with you more. It was used as a weekend car up until last year, then parked up and now moved for movements sake every few months. Still taxed and looks savable, but there's a big hole appearing in the driver's side wing and sills are looking very autumnal.

Never cared for the povo spec models (maybe because they were very common in Sweden when I grew up, and often very boring old peoples cars in beige or brown), but a black 900 aero, why not?



Can't believe Saab dropped this for the bland, boring and unreliable 900NG....

I've always had a thing for the 96 and the 99, however I have always been a bit luke warm towards the 900.....but, pictures like this make me realise the 900 has definitely come of age. This car is so right. Very 80's, 3 spokes, Saab Ugly cool, love it.
