I then wanted to start cleaning the interior as it stinks of wood (the material not the smell of a boner) best quote ever!

Woah, havnt updated this in a while.. well during from then and now all of the welding is now done! i will no longer have the hear the beatiful noise of a blobule of molten metal casually sizzling in my ear whilst welding upside down! Over the months money has been tight been paying fro my own driving lessons just paid fro test and stuff so its on a shoestring budget but all is good it isnt sold or scrapped..yet lol. finsihed the paint on the drivers side just neatiening it up the best i can with rattle cans to make it far more presentable which it has done shall get overall pics but passenger side has 2 new doors in primer and that side needs blowing over as primer isnt the best thing to leave un painted outside. anyway changed the ill fitting front windscreen rubber and it leaked like a collander, was completely useless so ordered a new rubber from old ford autos , perfect rubber ball ache to fit my fingers still hurt old rubber new rubber in just need to fit inserts in which i will do promptly as its my pet hate also i have to focus on the interior its frankly quite a *hithole so spent my time bidding on a new original steering wheel as the other one was completely fubard managed to get this lot on eBay for "£25 posted to me perfect!! currently choosing the best of both and am currently painting it grey to match the interior which is proving a ball ache like anything i do in my life.. that blue cowling bit in the right hand blue wheel is the bit i desperatly needed ;D also while changing the screen in my attempt to clean the interior up the trim 'bits' around and underneath the trim were discoloured and a bit shabby so decided to give them a lik of paint not bad for rover grey under screen bit thing pmsl the state of it the screen pillar trims and after looking nice and fresh! also i have done a lot of under the scenes bit that i completely forgot to take pictures of just a case of 'Doing' rather than 'Documenting' such as completely refurbed front suspension new balljoints and track rod ends, new spax rear shocks and also got lucky and scored a much needed NOS exhaust system to replace the fubard 50 year old original ! fitted perfect !! also got some new wheels for when it does hit the road in the near future.. some compomotives, bought them for next to nothing with near new 165/55 tyres and using 2 for the narrower fronts and some 195/55's for the rear 2! Now heres interesting bit i got them and as the pictures below will show the lips were truely fubard! no amount of wet and dry could help these puppies out i was just gonna dully paint them all one colour until i saw Ratta's thread on here with his kit that polishes ally.. wheels before excuse bright colours person who had them before me must have been colour confused lol pictures here do them a lot of justice these were truely dead as a dodo state of the lips.. ;D and after took about i would say 2 days this is the first time i used this technique there not 100% perfect cause the rims had markings in them and the ally isnt the best they are made out of, but i tell you what for the cost of £50 to do all 4 lips instaead of companies quoting me £60 a rim! I am rather quite happy and they shall do the 'Sair for the time being.. and this turquoise rim was a right bar steward but blinged up allright i tell you i will be painting the inserts this weekend.. got the paint and laquer here.. you shall see soon will update this when more work happens a lot of stuff to go through on this car..if only i knew it would be this much when i bought it i wouldnt have bought it LOL!

That's very cool, I like that. Do yourself credit and paint it up nicely though- be a shame to put all that work in and then have it looking worse than when you started!

not really much to report nothing much done apart from putting in new door seals to cure a leak which is still leaking ? but i think i have this sorted fingers crossed! anyway i am on a mission to get this done for wheels day no promises but lets see.. in the meantime i cleaned up the 50 year old grime on the seats and found out that 2 of the door cards were properly rotten and needed the backing replaced so got some hardboard( need to get another one as the 2 wont fit!damn) got the original vinyl which needs a properly good clean, and got the originals for templates! all being well during the week and weekend this should be done? giving the interior a hugge turnaround from the past 2 years ready to be done! and the clips i will be using cant wait also got to finish rebuilding the suspension just got the driver front to do ball joint and TRE's fun! ;D
