hi all after reading everyone else's efforts I thought I will show you what I have been doing recently
oh my names gav and I got this and a mk1 cortina 2 door(long term thing) and just turned 18, and you can blame my dad for me getting this old ford/retro bug
heres the '64 corsair as we got it, (has been copied and pasted from osf, sorry I'm just being lazy..wont happen again haha)
ive got a new osf a lovely 64 corsair in maroon, bench seat and column change! plans are to get it ready for this august needs some bodywork doing to it but nothing much compared to my mk1(yes I still have it)
front of sill need tidying and inner sill, jacking point, outrigger, and bottom of the wing this is just on the drivers side, and 1 top mount needs replacing on pasenger side, and that is all that needs doing then after that just either paint it or leave it ruff and tuff?
anyway heres the bits you lot like
fresh off the delivery truck on manky onion wheels..it needed jump starting yes
me street cred was goin down   on them rubbish wheels so I went in the stores department......
I like it soo much with these wheels but I'm gonna be going something different when finished
first up big thanks to rob shand fromt he corsair club who sorted me out with these bits, good bumper indicator unit, drivers chrome strip and a headlight bezel
bought some alleycats tryed them on...
then sold them
reday to do the sill door off and I will let pics do the talking now
nice bodge whoever done this
thats was all today tomorrow I'm continuing clearing the rot out and hopefully inner sill will be on this weekend, jacking point and outrigger needs doing too
made a brand new inner sill
welded up and primed
doing outrigger and jacking point tomorrow and sorting floors then putting outer sill on
phew right finsihed up outrigger, I now want to say...I HATE WELDING WHILST UPSIDE DOWN
but got there in the end and used my powerilfe to clean the welds up forgot to take before and during pics :dope:
I had to notch the outrigger to fit on the chassis as it was too high and had to take in account the floor has to be completey leve I.e no bumps etc :x but it looks ace I think for it all being done in the heat outside on cold hard concrete
then these came through the post for the rear lovely jubbly just need paint
starting to put floor back in tomorrow gonna be an invisible repair so no platin over fllor etc..
right heres some of todays action I had a record of 5 people randomly stop and started to chat to me about the car (wasted about 2hrs there) but no one wanted to buy it :dope:
put the original bit where the seat attatches to back into the floor took ages measuring it making sure it is straight with the other 3 in the fllors
then fabricated new floor around that bit
need to buy a drill bit as I cant nick me dads tomorrow and I can plug weld it in and finish weld it all
done more today well all I can do as I ran out of gas :dope:
all plugged up nd tacked
then started to finish up welding and then ran out
I'm pleased with my welding so far not bad for a nipper
done a bit more nice to see it coming together eventually
finsihed the outrigger
well my welds have definately improved
jacking point
the weld I did myself on the jacking point
