Try driving it as is before lowering it..
Accidentally knock the grey and purple wire out of the ecu...you'll be impressed/frightened. ;-)
Theres some chassis and seat belt tower braces available that stiffen the shell up nicely.
IMHO 15's with low profile tyres make the handling twitchy and nervous. I'm going back to 14' slutmags and gum ball tyres.
Join club cappo if you havent already, theres tones of knowledge and manuals there.
Keep up the good work, youre gonna love driving it eventually!

I had a black one of these a couple of years ago - should be a picture of it on here somewhere.
I've still got a few bits kicking around (steering wheel, clear side repeaters, trim and a couple of sill covers from a J body kit). Let me know If you want me to have a dig in the garage?

Update! Started with a bit of this Then this came off Then this happened for a good month or so So that was my first lul in progress, but inbetween downfalls, i took some pics of this Fun! It was at thsi point i decided that patching her up wasn't an option and my best bet would be a strip down, get her on her side and do some proper welding. Best get the engine out then, by myself, with no engine crane! Easy! Strip her down a bit Lift the front, support the subframe on stands Undo the subframe mounts (yes i'd done the gearbox mounts and misc wiring first), then drop shell back to floor, finally undo the shock top mounts, jack the shell up, boooooom, engines out complete with subframe so i can easily wheel it around Maybe next time i'll drain the fluids, gearbox oil stinks! Stored in the garage Dropped onto dollies so i can wheel her around Oh, 'cause the passenger side floor wasn't to bad i fixed it

You ought to try doing it on a driveway, inbetween rain, doing a house up and having a missus who believes a 2005 car is ancient and has a mard if I suggest having an hour working on my car...
Good times...

Next time I knock up a bespoke, rudimentary frame to tip a car on its side remind me to build in some sort of caster system. I really needed to get the car closer to the garage and behind the gates away from folks eyes, cause for some reason a mid nighties J on its side seemed to cause traffic issues. Easier said than done, out came the crane again and the only things i've got with wheels that can take the weight, dollies. Getting the frame on the dollies was easy enough, the problerm lay in my travellerness and using old steel, the funny angles didn't help. Gaffa tape!!! Didn't work to well. But I managed it eitherway, safe and sound now...

i quite like the idea of these little cars with a kind of colin chapman ethos in mind. not sure i'd go as far as wanting to own one though, and another bit of a stretch to hear someone desired one for so many years, but its outweighed by your enthusiasm and getting knees deep in what is essentially a proper restoration, kudos to you and i'll just leave this here ! (which is odd, as i only bought one yesterday) imageshack.us/f/526/redbullhangar7hn.jpg/
