I'm a totally failure at potato-shopin' so I can't help you there I'm afraid. However, I've thought about this before for mine and I can't see how arches will work on a 4 door, unless, you either give up using the back doors or cut the arch to keep the standard doorshuts...
Theres just not quite enough meat betwix the front edge of the rear arch and bottom edge of the rear doors.

The boring part of me would post something along the lines that there's not enough mk1 escorts with uncut arches left..
..but the other part thinks it would look bloody awesome! ;D
I've seen rear bolt on arches cut in half to make opening the rear doors possible, this is what i'm planning to do when I get my set.

my quick attempt Thanks heaps mephiston, that looks excellent! And so much better than anything I could have come up with. I wonder if it would look a bit weird only having arches on the front. I don't need them on the back cause there is (just) enough clearance. But it does look cool with them on all round. But like you said mk14dr, getting the rears on with the back door in the way could be tricky. And dude, I would love to leave the guards alone, but I want to take the car to the track, so wanted bigger rubber, so needed to trim the guards to get some steering lock. The drivers side guard is buggered anyway (the arch is ok so i might try and cut it off an keep it).
