My name is Joost and I'm from the Netherlands. I've been reading on this forum for a couple of weeks and thought it was time to post about my own car. I've owned it now for 6 years, during which I had a hell of a time finding parts (only 33 ever sold here and about 10 left) and solving all sort of problems.
First some specs,
It has a 1.8 4 cilinder boxer turbo engine, which delivers (on a good day) about 140hp. It has a lockable centre diff and an clutch style LSD in the rear. The dash is fully digital, it originally had a analog dash but I liked this one better

This vehicle originally had air suspension, which is great, while it lasts...Which it didn't
Luckily other period Subaru's have conventional suspension, so with some searching and a splash of money, I managed to find rear red koni's, Gabriel fronts (terrible, but the only one I could find) from the US and Ground Control coilovers also from the US.

I bought it with blown headgaskets (apperantly these engines are prone to overheating) from the shop I worked at the time and fixed it then and there. Sadly I was too inexperienced at the time to see the mistakes being made and this lead to another blown headgasket a couple of 1000kms later. While my parents were away on holiday, I pulled the engine![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Then it turned out both heads and the turbo were cracked

But with some absurd luck I found a complete engine (!) for only 150 euros which meant I could put it all back together with good heads and turbo within weeks! I also put in an exedy sports clutch and used a complete engine reseal kit from Fel-Pro.

(The guy in the blue alpine downright refused to park next to such an "ugly car" but still ended up next to it;))
All those years I didn't really like the rims on it, 15'' don't suit the 20 year old car in my opinion. So, when I found these

I was excited to say the least! They are 14'' 6J OZ racing wheels, originally fitted to Peugeot 505 turbo and were an optional extra from the peugeot talbot racing department. These peugeots and subaru are the only cars to have the strange 4x140PCD so again a ton of luck in finding these.
