Hah! One day in London and I already have all the cars I wanted. Even more. First visit to Poundland this morning brought a caddy ambulance for my gf, a t25 crewcab with stuff on the truckbed, the white Dodge a100, all on long cards, but thats okay. Later in asda we found several chevy estates, f100 vans, bean minis, ...
Some of todays finds. I wasn't going to buy the set originally, but i saw the Dodge truck, then the Chevy Elcamino, then the '34 Dodge Delivery, then the price! So i put them back! They didn't have much stock, so i thought, sod it, if they've got them all, i'll have them all! But if they don't have them all, then i wont buy any!
1980 Dodge Macho Power Wagon.
Custom '52 Chevy.
'71 Chevy Elcamino. (they only had one of these!)
VolksWagen T1 Panel. (they only had 2 of these!)
'34 Dodge Delivery Bus.
Thats me broke 'till payday! I'm not familier with any of these castings except perhaps the Elcamino, and the VW Panelvan, but even those i'm not 100% on. Does anyone know if any of these were released with the regular mainline toys?
I picked this up last week from The Entertainer for £3 (I didn't bother with the others. Mine has smaller chrome five spoke wheels on I think. I only noticed because my Star-Trek one has the larger rims on IS JUST THE SAME! I had a look when I got home and it was a trick of the light - durr.

i have four majorette 1/32 (6") American cars, which don't fit in with my smaller models
i don't have any of the boxes, all are in good un-played with condition, apart from, the T-Bird which has some rear bumper decay, and the Mustangs roof has very light scuffs, the paint is all there just very light scuffs (maybe from movement when it was in its box)
i would like to swap for the smaller 1/43 scale (4")
Vauxhall Cresta/Velox P.A. any colour
Ford Zephyr/Zodiac mkII or mkIII any colour
Toyota Supra mkIII but not in white, or mkII mkI any colour
I have been organising my loft and as a result was coerced in to organising and cataloguing what Hotwheels I had (boxed ones only thankfully). Turns out that there were a not insignificant 650! The bulk of which were 2016/2015/2014 with a few from each year back to a solitary boxed Mini from 2006! I did get a bit of rollicking for the 130 odd duplicate/triplicate/quadruple that I had.......apparently different colours is not a good enough excuse to carry multiples! Cue a bit of a sell off of duplicates in the near future
The duplicates/triplicates/quadruples (well some of the 130....)
2013 and older (1x 2006, 3x 2008, 2x 2009, 1x 2010, 4x 2011, 5x 2012, 17x 2013) What this doesn't show is the organised box of 2016's, the biggest box is now full of 2016's stacked vertically to squeeze more in......over 230 in there to be exact! Quite heavy that as well! Also doesn't show the Gran Turismo ones, couple of 5 packs, BMW series, 18 of the Road Trippin series and 17x Matchbox.
So generally speaking in my experience it works as follows:
* Supermarkets (Sainsburys/Tesco/Morrison) have the current range and some left overs from previous years. Occasionally, very rarely, you'll find an older model hanging there. Asda have a few exclusive models (mainly matchbox). I picked up a 2011 Hotwheels from a Tesco store that wasn't even open in 2011!! go figure!
* Poundland tend to run a year or two behind, and often have series or non mainstream models i.e. Happy New Year Carbonator, Road Trippin.
* Smyths toystores had what ever was the current series
* Poundworld had the current year and some previous year when I last went in
I haven't really bought from anywhere else so can't really comment. I know B&M bargain stores or whatever stock them but never been in one, think The Range might stock as well but none local to me.
Argos, ask to see the box, current mainlines WHsmith expensive but usually behind by a few yrs Entertainer current mainlines and Adult cars (Pop culture) Wilkinsons Larger stores still stock M&co current Mainlines Halfords current Mainlines
Have seen them once or twice in larger Post offices and Waitrose on clip strips
